Hey @modest stirrup Give me a moment and I'll look through this

Take your time, and thank you

okay reading through it now, sorry

No rush at all, I'll answer anything I can to the best of my abilities

okay I am seeing a lot of errors that could mean you are having horrible lag, or it could mean that there is a bottleneck in your system

#

with the GPU crash it very well could be that.

Ahhh, I see. I was messing with the settings a bit and eventually just set everything to balanced, was getting a very smooth 120 fps after that but if the issue is stemming from performance I'd be glad to just lock it to 60fps and give it a try

I would first try to close down as much software as you can, even going into task manager and disabling startup programs you might be running and after a reboot give it a try to see if it crashes still

modest stirrup
#

I'll give that a try, thank you. I will mention that this crash doesn't always happen quickly, but I'll let you know whether it seems fixed (or crashes again)

I can thankfully say I gave that a try already and I'm running the most up to date version (I was super hopeful about this one).

#

Even sorted out some weird OBS vulkan nonsense

strange. it's reporting an old version - but I have been seeing old versions all day. Might be something with the video driver restricting which version is being used.

modest stirrup
#

I was noticing that too. Despite going through very thorough Display Driver Uninstaller and fresh driver installs, I still see AMD using an outdated vulkan version.

I'm reporting back, warily, that things seem okay now!

#

After closing a few programs and limiting my fps to 60, so far I haven't had a crash

#

Don't wanna jinx myself but it's looking well so far

#

I never would have guessed it to be an issue with performance. The game was running flawlessly and I had tons of ram to spare, but this is why you're the expert clearly

#

I'll let you know if the situation changes, but thank you regardless. And thank you for everything else you're doing by the way, you and all the other Helpers

I think the problem is fixed, or at least heavily mitigated to the point I can definitely deal with it. No crashes since!
