I'm actually thinking it's not a crash. It reacted the same as with the blackscreen BUT i was still in game, so pressing ESC closed the box UI and everything as back to normal.

It's just a simple it opens the UI so keeps you in place and because you cant move, only the mouse moves, it may feel as if it's crashed.

Oh it's not a black screen, you just don't see the inside of the chest?

Yup. I was confirmation biased because of the issue we had with the test branch, sorry 😄 - Wuould have to confirm with Cranky though.

yes can confirm it is fixed if that is right word by the esc, but we still do not get the inventory screen etc is that intentional?

You've turned the HUD off, it turns ALL hud off.
