#Zervis - Crashing issues

Okay I am gonna open up this thread for your issue. Give me a moment to put some pertinent info in here and let's see if we can't figure this out.
Alrighty, thank you
While I am doing that, would you be able to toss the most recent crash log in here?
Yeah sure
- System Specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K, 16 gigs of Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
- Crashing within a few minutes of playing the game
- Completed /minidump steps
- Installed latest Vulkan runtime
- Set resolution from 1440p to 1080p
- Allowed shaders to load in menu before starting game.
- Previous and current logs shows a significant amount of ram usage before game launches.
Okay - I have noticed a pattern of a lot of your system ram being used before the game even starts - this could absolutely be contributing or even causing the crashing issue.
You only have about 6-7gb of ram available to play the game. While windows uses about 3-4 gigs typically, it means something else on your system is likely using up a majority of your ram and not leaving much for the game to run on.
My next suggestion would be to go into your Task Manager and under "startup apps" disable anything that isn't necessary for your game or windows to run (a quick google search should tell you if you don't know) and then restart your computer and see if that makes a difference.
This is my only startup app I have enabled currently, my browser (Firefox) seems to take quite a bit of ram but on one of my attempts I didn't have it opened and it still crashed
can you upload the log from the latest crash?
@cursive cave Do you think it's just a hardware issue and I need to get an upgrade?
I probably wouldn't jump there just yet. the 1080 is above the minimum requirements to play the game, and while it's not going to run in on very high settings, it should be capable of running them on the settings you have it on.
Though I would suggest turning down your texture resolution to balanced or below if it isn't, as that uses the most VRAM.
So when you start up the game each time, are you having the issue where it compiles shaders every time?
Yeah I have to compile shaders everytime
It's possible that this is just an extreme effect of one of the bugs they are looking in to. The performance on people's machines with that bug drops dramatically. On an older card it could feasibly cause crashing.
Hmm yeah I heard about that being a bug
