word from one of our programmers:
I strongly recommend going into the windows settings and designating the mic and speakers used to the windows default devices if this is not already the case. Then the sample and bitrate of these audiodevices can be adjusted I do not recommend over 48000hz, 32 bit. most of our audiosamples are 44100 hz 16 bit , so maybe the user could try these settings to see if something works with his audio set up.

I has my audio at 96000Hz normally, changing it to 44100Hz didnt help, let me find that log file
