if i only press W or S he walks a step or two then gets all weird and stops.
but if i press any ofhter movement key along with W then he will walk normally.

this should limit the amount of programs running at the same time as your game
if anything was sending these parasite inputs, this would "remove" them by ensuring they're not running at the same time as your game

we think we found a reproduction for the issue last night when I posted the message. Which means that it can be fixed.
We're aiming to push patches and hotfixes out asap and over the course of the next week, to address issues our users have raised. I can't guarantee when this specific issue will be fixed, however.

is there anyway you could record a video with a keyboard overlay visible as well?
even just a video could be helpful, but an overlay would be MUCH more helpful

i was in the process of trying to do that and then game had to update. after updating, steam cant find my server. and im too stupid to figure it out and my buddy who helped me set it up before isnt around right now.

okay so i dont have a video cuz I couldnt figure out how to record the keboard overlay and the game at the same time and I dont have obs.
BUT the keyboard overlay did show me something weird. when i hold down any of the number or symbol keys, the blink on the input overlay rather than one continuous press.
i tried to fix it in my setting, turned down the repeated presses as low as they can go and set a setting to prevent repeated strokes but keys still blink in the overlay.

so i plugged in another keyboard an its not happening with this one. so i guess its something up with my other keyboard. no idea what it could be though.

I think it could be due for a cleaning? Maybe something lodged itself under the key caps

maybe, but i dont think so. it shouldnt be too dirty.
and its like a smooth almost perfect repeat. like one input every .5 seconds or so. and if i press a second key while doing it it will stop.
like if i hold W own it will blink, but if i hit any other key while holding W own it will stop blinking.
maybe the keyboard has a setting i dont know about that somehow enabled or something
or maybe its just busted somehow.

the one i was using before is just some shitty Hyrican keyboard that came free with my pc. i was using it cuz the D button on this one is screwy.
the model it says is TAS00316

okay so if this is some crapola thing, hopefully this is a "this one piece" problem and not the entire model line
or worse for us... our game

honestly, i dont see how it would be the game really. it worked fine for 400+ hours and it works fine with another keyboard.
its prolly just coincidence it happened right after the update.
