Hi Qwerty, please drag and drop a copy of your game log after you crash in this thread.

  • Open steam library
  • Right click on enshrouded in the list - click properties
  • Click on Installed files, and in the window click on "browse"

The log should be named either "Enshrouded.log" or just "enshrouded" and look like a text document.

hushed zephyr
#

pallid cape
hushed zephyr
#

no, it crashed last time i on was on it

pallid cape
#

okay. And you say it always happens after 5-10 minutes?

hushed zephyr
#

it felt like it when got home it did 2 twice and some times last night when i got it

pallid cape
#

Okay. Can you please download GPU-Z (https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-gpu-z/), install and run it. Click on the "sensors" tab and expand the window to show everything, then start up the game.

When your game crashes, take a screenshot of that window and put it in here.

hushed zephyr
#

what is tech power up>

#

?

#

is it safe?

pallid cape
#

This is hardware monitoring software that can tell us a lot about what is happening to your system, including temperatures, and load on your cpu, gpu and memory.

#

I am not going to send you to something that isn't safe, and If I were in the habit of doing that, I would have been kicked from here a long time ago.

hushed zephyr
#

okay ill downlaod it

#

which load

#

?

pallid cape
#

I don't understand your question.

#

Whatever is closest to you.

hushed zephyr
#

which mode?

pallid cape
#

when you click on it it should start the download.

hushed zephyr
#

im on the sensors now what do i now>

#

?

pallid cape
#

expand the window to show everything, then run the game.

#

Take a screenshot of it when your game crashes and post it in here.

hushed zephyr
#

will do

#

i think its finen now

pallid cape
#

Just keep running it while playing the game. If it crashes you'll have the information to put in here.

#

If it does happen, make sure to respond in here, though, so we have all your data on hand.

hushed zephyr
#

just a screen shot of the sensors

pallid cape
#

Make sure to expand that window to show everything. You can hover your mouse over one of the corners till you see arrows and then click and drag it to resize the window.

hushed zephyr
#

like this

pallid cape
#

there is still more.

hushed zephyr
#

im getting off thank you for the help have good day.

pallid cape
#

Okay. So far that looks good. Just keep int running while you play, and if you crash, take that screenshot.

hushed zephyr
#

I’ll post it here if crashes

pallid cape
#

Sounds good

hushed zephyr
#

crashed a 1min in this time

pallid cape
# hushed zephyr

Your clock on your CPU was maxed out the entire time you were playing, whereas before it wasn't. Were you running something else that you weren't before? Watching videos, on the web, using any other programs?

#

Were you streaming, using voice chat, anything like that?

hushed zephyr
#

no just hoped on it after booting my pc up

pallid cape
#

did you shut down your computer or was it just sleeping?

hushed zephyr
#

shut down

pallid cape
#

nothing else seems to be out of the ordinary on there, but that CPU clock being maxed out like that and the crash, it could be something.

hushed zephyr
#

from window menu

#

it only happens on this game aswell

pallid cape
#

have you already disabled all your overlays?

hushed zephyr
#

?

pallid cape
#
  • To disable Steam overlay in enshrouded specifically by right licking on the game in your library list, selecting properties and under the general tab, toggling "enable steam overlay while in-game" to off.
  • To disable Discord's overlay, Click the gear icon next to your name on the bottom left. Click "Game Overlay" and at the top where it says "Enable in-game overlay, toggle it off.
  • For NVidia, this will either be in Geforce Experience of NVidia App, whichever one you have. For NVidia App It will be located in settings on the feature tab, It should be similarly located in Geforce Experience.
hushed zephyr
#

Thank you hopefuly this helps

#

happened again had nothing open

pallid cape
#

did you have gpu-z running? I'd like to see if the CPU was maxed out again

hushed zephyr
#

?

pallid cape
#

during the last crash. was the monitoring software running?

hushed zephyr
#

no

pallid cape
#

okay. What virus scanner are you currently using?

hushed zephyr
#

Windows defender

pallid cape
#

and are you using any file share programs like a BitTorrent, or are you using any cloud services like dropbox or onedrive?

hushed zephyr
#

one drive

#

whats bittorrent?

pallid cape
#

file downloading or sharing software, usually for movies, tv or other things

hushed zephyr
#

no just one drive

#

its only happening with Enshroud

pallid cape
pallid cape
# hushed zephyr no just one drive

I don't use one-drive, but if it is set up to upload the game files to the cloud it can cause issues if it tried to sync it while the game is running, especially if it is accessing a file the game is also trying to access.

#

Can you right-click on one-drive in your system tray and pause syncing while you play the game and see if that affects it at all?

hushed zephyr
#

just did it let give the game a try

pallid cape
#

run GPU-Z too so we can see what impact it may or may not have had.

hushed zephyr
#

it seemed to run fine ill have it when i play again im going for dinner

hushed zephyr
#

this with drive paused

pallid cape
#

no crashing so far?

hushed zephyr
#

yeah no crashing

pallid cape
#

okay keep GPU-Z running and play. If it crashes again let me know

hushed zephyr
#

will do

#

just crashed lol

pallid cape
#

can you toss that new log file in here?

hushed zephyr
#

yeah

pallid cape
#

should be the same one you did last time, it gets overwritten

hushed zephyr
pallid cape
# hushed zephyr

when you did the minidump steps, did you specifically use DDU to uninstall the GPU driver?

hushed zephyr
#

Didn’t do the last 1 it scared me

pallid cape
#

The video shows you how to do it, and it's directly from MSI.

hushed zephyr
#

It still scared me lol

pallid cape
#

if you aren't comfortable doing it, perhaps you know someone who can help you run it where you are?

hushed zephyr
#

I think I know someone

#

Would this make game play able

#

?

pallid cape
#

It could fix a possible issue with your drivers. I can't guarantee it will work, there are too many possible variables as to what is happening, but it won't harm anything.

hushed zephyr
#

Is mini dump a known issue?

pallid cape
#

Minidump is a generic term for the crash.

#

it's not one specific issue, it's creating a log file of the crash and a dmp file - or dump file

hushed zephyr
#

Yeah that makes sense it’s so annoying because I want to play the game, I can play it but I have to worry about it crashing or not. because when it crashes it sets me back which is so annoying.

hushed zephyr
#

I'm no longer getting crash dumbs but it stutters and then crashes randomly

#

I got 4060 oc yesterday

pallid cape
#

It's possible one of the fixes you tried may be causing issues now, or it could be something else.

With the new GPU, I would go through the first three steps from the Minidump DM again just to be sure.

hushed zephyr
#

will do just got a min dump lol

#

i thinked the sturrering by putting my ram into a different slot

#

should i download vualkon again?

pallid cape
#

You can to be sure.

#

It can't hurt

hushed zephyr
#

it seems to be working fine now

#

the game froze but didnt crash it was frozen

hushed zephyr
#

the game is fine played for about 2hrs and no issues at all runs fine and smooth like it should

hushed zephyr
#

probably my gpu which had liquid damage and that my ram was in the wrong slot
