Okay I am gonna look through the history in troubleshooting to make a list of everything to put in here. Can you just describe what seems to be happening and any patterns you may have noticed?

That's the problem there is no pattern I can put my finger on. Except for now where it just started crashing trying to gbet over the shroud but other than that it's random

How do i put the whole file log in here as that isnt the whole log

yeah - it's a generic error

pretty much all the logs after crashes end in that no matter tha cause.

The computer guy ran heaven benchmark i believe for nearly 2 hours on full stress mode

Ah - right you said you brought it to a guy. I would say I wouldn't worry about it being a hardware failure right now if he did that 🙂

I am seeing something that is a little concerning in your log. I don't know if we asked you to try this, but have you turned steam cloud save off and tried to see if it's still crashing?

ok. Wasnt sure. Thing is he said software isn;t his thing in terms of he repairs and builds PCs but is limited on software knowledge

Okay, can you copy the files from this location - ..\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[YourSteamID]\1203620\remote
YourSteamID is your unique Steam ID number - to this location - ..\Users\%username%\Saved Games\Enshrouded - and then turn cloudsave off and try to launch your game?

that folder contains all of your save files - character and world, including backups.

It's the same file and backups. The character save is all your characters in one file

it's 1 save and 9 backups

same with the world saves. each slot has an id - like 3ad85aea for slot 1, and 9 backups

and info files for the world saves as well

so take all of those files and copy them to ..\Users\%username%\Saved Games\Enshrouded

the %username% will be whatever you called yourself on the computer

so right click on file explorer again and click "File explorer" then go to this pc > (C:) > Users > whatever your user name is > Saved Games > Enshrouded

and select all the files in the remote folder, to the enshrouded folder. right click them and click copy, then right click inside the enshrouded folder and click paste. Please make sure to choose the right files, as if you overwrite your saves there is no easy way to get them back.

when i clicked open enshrouded foulder there was 1 file in there called enshrouded_user.json file

Well I had noticed that you got an awful ping when your game was trying to save, which made me think your cloudsave was causing some issue. Not sure if it is the issue, or 100% of the issue - but I am glad to hear it's going well so far.

Integrated GPUs have been known to cause issues - and even if vulkan itself happens to load up the right GPU, one alt tab could switch the active GPU to your integrated card which has no VRAM, and is under spec to run the game.

idk if its an issue but there are so many things that want to control the gpu. Got nvidia home panel, windows, geforce and alienware command center. Its so many lol

If you do crash after doing this, though - chances are it's some other software running on your system that is causing the issue - maybe even one of those, or a combination of them that is causing issues. At that point it's a process of elimination.

There isn't anyone around that would know everything and be able to track it down any differently than you would, honestly.

nothing in computers is that predictable, and there are just too many possible combinations of issues.

If you crash after disabling the integrated GPU, you are looking at going into your task manager and disabling everything you can in the start up apps. Everything if it lets you (nothing in there is integral to your windows or computer running)

if the crashes stop after doing that, it's a matter of enabling the software 1-by-1 until it crashes again to figure out what it is.

I could probably handle the crashes if you actually spawned back to the same place you crashed. It's a frustrating set up.

Also - as you are using a laptop - I am not sure if your hardware guy told you, but laptops are prone to overheating issues. Make sure that your laptop is on a cool, solid surface, like wood or metal - no cloth or anything that can block the vents. Even though your hardware guy ran your computer through the gamut - he very likely did it on an appropriate surface, even possibly a cooling pad - so it may not have shown him if your system is having cooling issues.

First of all i deleted all my characters and saves. Maybe a corrupt save? Then changed graphic settings to quality instead of performance but then also changed something on steam. and yay lol

Was reading online with most people saying they disabled it. There was a small patch this morning not surte what it was.

That usually is something if you are stuck loading before the menu, but perhaps it's doing something. There was no patch for everyone this morning, that was likely you downloading shaders.
