#(Resolved) Glitchy player movement in server/solo world on specific save

Okay gonna make this a thread. So just to add in the conversation not included in the thread:
- This happens while the world file is on a server and also while the world file is played solo.
- There is a very large build in the world.
- Issue occurs whether standing near large base or not.

I'm not entirely sure what is happening here. I'd normally say it's some kind of ping or loading issue - packet loss - but the fact that this is happening in single player while not on a server proves that to be false.
I would also say that it still could be the build just being too large, but what I am seeing in your video doesn't really allude to an overly massive build - though I do see a lot of plants which could also be adding to the issue.
Can you explain when this started happening, and what you guys were doing when this started?
we had got to the dragon boss to upgrade the flame, we wiped a few times and decided the call it a night, i believe the next day a member of our party built a little house for us to get rested near to the boss and i believe that same day is when the server started having this issue
ive tried deleting the building that she built but the issue is the same, i also planted alot of conifer trees but have since removed all of them and issue still remains
we do also have alot of animals
Yeah - I am not really sure. There is no way to "uncorrupt" a save if this is indeed the issue, but I am not 100% sure it is.
I would say remove the flame completely over by the boss, pick plants, pick up animals and try to reduce the strain to see if any of these might be the issue.
Actually - the copy of the world you have on your computer is completely dispensable right?

Okay - so me a favor. Start going around and removing all your flame altars. Each altar you remove, log out of the game and back in. Stop if the issue fixes and note which one it was.

If you remove all the flames and the issue persists after the last restart of the world, then you are very likely looking at a world corrpution. If it stops before then, it's something in the last altar you removed.
i removed the altar at the main base and its fixed it straight away it seems
Okay. so you are looking at something in that base causing the issue - whether it's too many plants or the build being too big. or just too many animals - something is causing the game to have issues.
it could also be that we basically took over a town, destroyed all the existing buildings and then built new ones. I imagine if there was any kind of patch to do with the buildings we destroyed then maybe the game is getting confused because the building its trying to patch no longer exists

but thank you for your help! at least we know the save isnt completely ruined, just have to find somewhere to move to!
Probably not. The state inside an altar is maintained past/through any game updates or changes to the underlying structures.

If I were to take a guess. I would check how much storage you have, specifically magic storage and see if consolodating it down if you have an extreme amount might do something
Basically look around for extremes, lots of plants, huge buildings, lots of animals and systematically try and eliminate them as an issue.
Start with things added recently and move back.
we do strictly only have magic chests (because we all steal from eachother anyway) so its probably the fact there are around 30 huge magic chests all near to eachother
I mean - I have 174 of them without issue on one base. xD

in the log it says we have 300+ chests so idk where its getting that number from

Any news as to whether that fixed your issue?
Spent some time today just getting rid of boxes, animals, plants and some of the newer base decorations but itβs still happening so still trying to pin down exactly what the issue is
