Your friend copied his whole save state to the savegames folder, including the characters file

which includes the character that your friend had

#

since you copied everything (including the characters file), it might have overwritten your own.

well, you could theoretically just copy your friend's newer save state and just build it around your own build

you may have lost armor and weapons but at least you can get a similarly-leveled character back

sorry I couldn't help you. I recommend doing backups of your saves whenever you try to make changes like these
