Heya, could you please post here the Enshrouded.log file after a session where this has happened?
Hey Kall i will try to attach the file after the next time i’m playing (which is now;))
@ripe ginkgo could you perhaps explain how i get to the file?
Please open the following path:
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Enshrouded
There should be an "Enshrouded.log" text file
just drag and drop it here, but make sure that during your gameplay the issue you mentioned above has occurred.
Hi Kall, just had the problem and got the Enshrouded file its a text file, so i'll assume that's the one.
Will check on it. Just to be sure, you've been updating your drivers, riiiight?
Hey Kall, this has been since when i’ve bought enshrouded. But i did update the drivers yeah. At least don’t see any updates available.
Hi @ripe ginkgo did every potential system update aswell. Problem remains te same. Did you have time yet to dive into it?
I didn't have time, no. With the upcoming patch that will come out today, there wasn't much time, unfortunately. But now it should free up some time for us to check it
Hey there, I talked with the devs and the map being kinda bad is a known issue. It's something we are working on improving the performance. I wouldn't know what could fix it for a workaround either, unfortunately, except a sheer shot in the dark.
If you can, open the Nvidia control panel and change the following setting (Vulkan present method) to the following:
It's a shot in the dark that hopefully helps, but there is zero guarantee it will help.
You can also try lowering one or another setting to see if it improves. Like maybe turn on Vsync and/or nvidia reflex
@ripe ginkgo unfortunately the shot in the dark didn’t work out. Is it also a possibility that’s it’s save game related?
I personally don't think so, but you could always try it yourself by doing a few quick tests.
- Create a brand new character and enter your world. Open map and see if it causes issues.
- Create a brand new character and create a new world as well. Enter said new world and open the map to see if it causes issues.
- Use your old character in the new world and, as you can guess, entere it to see if it causes issues.
