Steam check, just an addition to my question, so everything is gone?
I went into the game for some reason and it asked me to create a character - ok, again the starting video - ok, but then I went to my server where I was the host, and it was empty, there is a video with walkthroughs and buildings on YouTube, it would be a shame to lose everything - I don’t require an answer , but I still wanted to know WHAT’S THE MATTER?
I have to take care of a lot of tickets so let's go one step at a time, yes?
First off, did you play with Steam Cloud turned on or off?
Thank you, it's always on, there's an update right now - Should I install it?
347mb
for me
You should, but that's beside the point because it probably doesn't affect your situation.
Could you please check the following folders and see if there are any files there?
\Steam\userdata\<YourSteamID>\1203620\remote
C:\Users\<yourUserID>\Saved Games\Enshrouded
Ok, that means your files are still there, which is a good thing
ah, wait, those are the ones you created today
Did you check under the Saved Games folder?
Yes, everything is as I said, I went into the game and there everything was new
its C
For now there isn't much I can offer because that seems like a steam-related issue. You've said you have done verification of installed files? Have you started your Steam or even PC back on?
I didn’t touch anything, I just checked the files using Steam after discovering the problem
Just a minute, I'll see what files are on Steam.
Please attempt to verify the integrity of game files, restart steam, etc
I found a folder with files called remote by id - that’s what’s there
I advise first making a backup of these just to be sure
If your steam cloud is on and it's not accessing these things, it might be that you are undergoing Steam maintenance.
If that happens you may not have access to the files
I recommend waiting for a bit
Thanks for the professional answer (I’ll save these files) what should I do now, restart Windows, etc.?
Steam Maintenance can take up to one hour, so I recommend waiting out for that. Restarting also helps, but may not be needed.
Thank you very much again, after this small update everything worked, the problem seemed to really be on the side of Steam (I think Steam Cloud) And my Huge Village seems to be fine. Good luck in your difficult task and greetings from Russia - we love your game!!!
