It's a full load of chests which resets to original every 3 hrs. The server file is the key....it is simply reloaded as a new save with everything as new.

It has made the game more enjoyable by removing the factors I don’t care to grind for, and allowing me to focus the ones I do. This game is massive and with a busy life this server makes it possible to enjoy the game fully

yeah its pretty much outdated. very few games get a benefit. i actually bought it to mine ravencoin with. so the graphics cards actually paid for themselves. although gta 5 does get a 80% performance boost from sli interestingly.

Announcement:

Folks that follow this and the other 2 active Public Resource Worlds. Please be patient with us when the new Update hits (I'm estimating on or after Oct 21st) because not only will none of us have immediate access to the new content, but we'll all have to push +10 Levels ourselves THEN farm "all the new things" to work in cooperation between each other before we get new Saves ready with the new content. And it's likely going to be a MASSIVE amount of new items so expect each Base to be larger and possibly somewhat lower FPS than you're used to.

We pushed hard on the previous Update, Back to the Shroud (I was working on it 10-14 hrs/day), and even that took us ~3 full days to get everything added. This time around it'll certainly be longer, maybe closer to a week but we will get there. It takes a Community to keep these Worlds going!

-Added numerous armor and transmog sets
-Added new Building blocks
-Added some new weapons. Will need help from the community to gather all of the legendary new weapons and upgrade them to 35!
-Removed ~40% of magical storage chests to optimize server performance, removing unnecessarily large quanties of certain items.
(This amounted to about ~140 magical chests removed. So it should be noticably faster to deal with menus now.)

So Magical Containers are part of the performance drop huh, guess I'll have to do that with PRW also.

PRW still has a normal FPS around 50 or so but can suddenly drop to ~20 for a short time, and seemingly no reason, which is why I asked for clarification from the Devs if they know for certain what things, or combination of things cause lowered performance.

if you look at an npc like the blacksmith, you can see the game actually actively scan for the items in the chests as it makes passes

typically becasue of the amount of chests on my server it makes a pass about every 1-2 seconds

previously it was almost 3-4 seconds, before i removed so many chests

this was almost causing stupid bad fps drops as well for me

usually opening ur inventory and closing it after talking to an npc or using a workstation fixes the framerate

You have up to 10 Flames you can put down
And an entire map

Categories could be like this:

• Armory
• Terrain
• Alchemical Igrediants
• Cooking
• Hunting
• Collectables
• Boss Trophies

etc etc. This should help cut down on the lag on your 16/16 player server.

i like the idea and ive thought about it, but then the npcs become useless as they wont all have access to the correct materials

but also the way the game scans the chests is the same. whether htey got split in to multiple bases

hopefully the devs will do some optimization on the chests eventually

its really only an issue for me/other rescource servers, most people dont need 200+ magic chests lol

OP clearly stated that it either doesnt show up, or the game said it isn't found (which requires putting in the IP. That means the server at those times were offline or crashed or didn't spool back up properly.

No need to grind unless there's an update to the game with new items. Wulfic and a few others go ham and add everything likity split. Anything missing Wulfic can grab from other sources such as Resource worlds.

He'll usually ask if he needs help getting items.

Which happens every hour. If you're yonking stuff when it happens, you might end up having to go yonk it all again, because the inventory gets reset to an earlier state. Seems to happen 00:10 - 00:20 // 01:10-01:20 // 02:10-02:20 // etc.

I have been looking desperately for a legendary Silvershot bow and despite farming the Albaneve Hollow Halls can't seem to get one to drop. Someone on a message board suggested trying this server.

I hope it's OK that I donated three fully enhanced level 40 daggers. I wanted to give a little something back. I noticed most of the weapons are level 30 so I hope the level 40 ones are OK.

The server resets every hour to a default save file Wulfic uses. Hence the daggers you had dropped off would disappear. Best option is to coordinate with Wulfic to pass the item to him for addition to the save world.

Just checked.. server is still working fine. Make sure you have the right IP and port. Also I recommend adding it to your Steam favorites. Sometimes that helps

The IP numbers look to be correct. Make sure there are no spaces. I recommend maybe trying to add it to your Steam favorites. That might help. The server is up and running fine so not sure how to fix this for you.

Not sure... There is a lot of lag on servers that started a while ago with an update by Keen... but I am not having any trouble getting into this server. Not sure what else the issue could be. Are you trying to join through the game itself or through Steam?? Also, is the server not showing up in your favorites list in game?? I usually just click on the server in my favorites list and have had no trouble.

@dire hill if you're running the server off a computer at home, have you considered a gportal server? You can transfer your world to it, prepay for it for however long you like (up to a year, I think) and just let it run.
