thanks! i will likely re-visit the gatehouse when ive done more with the building and figured stuff out.. went for a more gothic medieval look as my build is near the shroud

its what ill be working on. doing a full village with a castle elevated above the village

It just takes so long to build as I'm mainly placing block by block to get the detailing in, as I'm using 4-5 different types of stone to add more texture to the build 😅

After seeing what some people have done with the luminous blocks, I'm going to be taking some inspiration and adding in some water too 😄

As in you're doing everything block by block?
It might save some time to do a base structure first and then add the embellishments ( unless that's what you're already doing )
I love what people have dome with luminous, especially when it's with waterfalls.
Raw luminous is also awesome visually, though not as bright

I'm doing the base structure and adding stuff in block by block yes 😝 but it takes so much time.

I'm sure the castle will be even more fun when I'm adding in circular shaped structures 🤣

Im going to have a water spring, with a small river that goes over a small cliff as a waterfall into a pool below. Possibly have a waterwheel somewhere along the way

Circular will be quite difficult but hopefully they will add more angled pieces in a future update.

I use geforce experience, it's a bit awkward right after updates but it's quite good

Thank you, and nope! I usually always use 2 as back in those times they would use them to trap enemies between and skewer them with spears. I like to try and keep things balanced between being accurately defensive and fantasy style building 😅

I'm too used to seeing just one in shows and movies.
I haven't seen many peoper castle walls yet being made so it would be cool to see those with paths leading up to the top and guard quarters within certain sections

haha yeah now that i think about it youre right, they only really do just show the 1.
The city walls will be integrated into the cliffside where the castle sits and also integrated into the barracks with decorations scattered.. shame there isnt armour stands i could dres up to be guards, instead i may be forced to use scarecrows 🤣

also i have the moat covered.. as i have chose somewhere on the map that has a lava river and bridge 👀
so no messing about with water
