I think you should be posting the 3ad85aea_info file rather than the .backup one ....

If it makes it easier or you, here's a info file. Servers do not have a info file. You will want to create a new world and use that world's ID (info file will be made at this time) so you can have your original worlds as well.

Nah, it wasn't all farmed. Yes, after getting the items I did duplicate them from carrying over items from one save to the next. Which is how I an share them and then reset the server and share more.

There is a bug that I believe was fixed with the last patch that locked you out of making rakes, Someone made a server with the sole purpose of filling chests with rakes for people affected by the bug

sorry, noob question - im lvl3 and playing solo (or Private / host / join)... can i go into mr. Beard Server indicated above an help myself with a dozen "metal scraps" from his house chest? must i have a higher level on my character? must i copy some special files into my Steam game folder or something similar?

just go to join, search beard, and see if it pops up, nothing else special needed. travel to his lvl 4 house and help yourself to a lot more than a donze metal scraps

I just checked and the onlything that was not in the bottom left box for flame's was it had 6 charcoal and not the 10. I will be correcting that soon it can take you from 1 to level 6. Other than that, if could have been becasuse someone took it. It is fixed now. Just take all the context of the far left chest (top or bottom) and you can upgrade both alter and strength to max.

Yes. Anything on your prson will go into other servers.

Its a dedicated server that has nothing to do with any service provider. The server is off my personal PC. For any question regarding why you can not find it with the name or ip, I would ask in #server-support. They will be able to answer those questions better than I could, as I have no clue why.

i forgot to mention that: compared to other shared worlds in this section, @kind drum teleport is straight foward and doesnt need you to swell into Steam instalation files, or do copy/replace files on your pc and risk messing up and loosing your game, world or character... to a pc noob like myself, its a huge help.

Servers are not region specific. I've managed to enter the server, but because i'm so far away my ping was horrible and i couldn't get any of the loot. Lobby said it would be ~254 ping but ingame it was above 500.

I do not off the top of my head but if you drop and alter and use a hammer to break it up, it should add the mats to your backpack and you can find out that way. If it is something I do not have, let me know where the location is and I can farm some and get it added.

if its not an inconvenient to you @kind drum , i take the time to re-order your items in columns specially the "dummy" like armors chests (top is the helmet and bottom is boots and gloves) bc some people make holes in the chest grid so i re-ordered everything like you left it to begin with, from left to right / from green to purple to gold... and close doors behind me LOL

One thing I wish this game that Valheim has is armor display dummies. They have so many sets of armor and it is a shame that I can't have them out on display.

Yes, bag space is needed. If you do not have a large backpack there is a few in the chest and you can always go to the hunter and make one. Each chest takes a large backpack of space and 1 action bar row.

As for who is doing it, there is nothing I can do to stop them until the admin controls gets released and I can limit what people can do on the server.

I got in using the steam ip instructions in the first comment that Mr Beard mentioned. After that it saved to my favourites and shows up first whenever I look for hosted worlds.
If you're using geforce then when you start the game, minimise it when it starts loading so you don't get directed away from the steam page, then do the instructions. If you follow them via normal steam it'll prompt you to download the game

Firstly, I find it amazing that you did this for your wife. My hubby does the same thing for me! He didn’t create a server, but he collects and fights for me in every game we play together.
I was wondering, I hope it hasn’t been mentioned yet, maybe you go to other servers listed here like yours and gather items from there, to add to yours that you don’t have, to maybe build a complete collection… or as complete as you can get.

Thank you and I do. This collection is built from several save files plus my own. I update when I notice something else is found that I do not have but I do not spend hours combing through people's worlds to see if I missed this one thing. Since Starting this, I have updated the server 6 times as I collect more gear and will do so as needed. There is an update section for people who want the world save file but outside that, the server gets refreshed with the update during it's normal scheduled update. If you notice something I do not have and you'd like to add to the server, please DM me and I can get that from you to get added, regarless the quantity you have. Hope this answers your question.

Restarts take about 2 seconds, but there are occasions where shutting down could take longer than 2 seconds and startup fails. This was recently fixed in the latest server manager release.

The info file is the file that shows the game on your saved games list. The other file is the world itself.

Depending on whether you use Steam Cloud or not, you'll have to follow the instructions to place the files in the correct location. Using steam cloud requires the extra step of creating a new saved game through the in-game menu before you can overwrite it with the files here

Scroll up just a bit and you will find the world save file along with instructions on how to install it on your own system. Now you join private and can reset it when you want.
Alternate plan B is to use one of the other public resource worlds. Mowjoe can be on all of them at the same time!

Are any of the items in this server bugged? I went through today to grab some weapons and building blocks. Around the 7th time, right after grabbing a few of the weapons on the 6th, I loaded into the server but all of my quest data had been reset.

I still had some quests showing completed but I had to do story of rot, npc quests etc. all over. I went back to my world as well as other friends worlds and it persisted. I didn't lose anything other than Stat points that I probably got from chopping down the rot trees.

I know that a few in game items are buggy and show the yellow mark as if they haven't been looked at yet. Also the lighting items seem to be too high in stack count, or something, because they won't do the sort function in the storage chests.

From what I read the only difference would be that all the files with the same number would have to be deleted before copying the 2 reset files back. Not too hard depending on the system you have on your server (Windows / Linux)

I've been experimenting with copying "reset" files and it appears that this method only works if you are NOT using the Steam Cloud (i.e. files are in C:\Users\<name>\Saved Games\Enshrouded).

That is because they have changed how save files work woth all the new backups. From our understanding you need to move/delete all the corresponding files and then place the world file into the folder. (Note, back things up vs deleting them incase things don't work)

Nope, I extensively tested this. I have an older file from you and that works. When I download the file from 22nd of March now and implement it (replace the files after renaming them so not to overwrite my main world) I get a completely new world without any builds.

Plus: Since I am using this as Single Player world, that only works in C://Users/[youruser]/Saved Games/Enshrouded and with Cloudsaves disabled.

Steam is now completely disregarding any changes I make to D:\Steam\userdata[Steamuser]\1203620\remote when Cloudsave is enabled. Before, I could just have a copy of the world in another folder, take what I want, then exchange the world for the full copy again.

And no, I have no issue with the swap. I did extensive testing today and there is a problem with the remotecache file from Steam when using the Cloudsave and multiple worlds. The third world is not getting represented correctly. Steam shows two indexs files instead of the worldfile and the info file.

When you login to a new world, except character save, there should be four save files changed that you can check with time stamp. But don't replace them all, only replace the one with biggest file size. Like the marked one in pic.

Which is fine ones you have the 4 files per world for all worlds. I do not. Steam only gives me 2 of my 4 worlds...

Works fine with Steamcloud disabled (without which the double glitch does not work 😉 ), but that uses a different file location altogether. I then tried to copy the correct files to the directory Steamcloud uses to force Steam to use the correct files (and yes, I made sure I had 4 filed for every world) and deleted the remotecache file to force Steam to make a new one. That´s when I found out about the problem.

I have cloud save on. I have not tested this with it off so not sure if that is the case for you. Since the new file iteration save was implemented how I do it the fast and EZ is as follows. Close game>Close steam>Open save directory>locate the save file I want to replace 1-10. In this example I have a DS so it is always Slot 1: 3ad85aea Delete or Move all highlighted files with the same slot leaving the 1 that is not highlighted> Then make sure the new file has been renamed to the same slot>copy then paste into the directory that you just removed the highlighted. It will prompt you the file already exists do you want to replace the old with the new and select yes. Make sure you backed it up prior to this step in case something goes wrong. Select yes log in to the game it will be named My World 1 since there is no -info file. Simply rename the world in game to w/e u like and log in.

If you keep those other files in the save they will prevent your save file from loading and overwrite your save resulting in a failed reset to the desired file.

Just rename main file and main -info file you want to use, to the latest ones from your remote folder. Then copy paste back into remote folder. just remember to always rename to Latest save.

-info file is irrelevant and not needed. The file is generated on login if it is not there. Also if you rename the server it will create a new _info file.

I have cloud save off because of various instructions from others to turn it off. I got Mr.beard’s server to load to my world but I couldn’t figure how to reset it. "Resetting" a private world is done by overwriting the current world file with a backup copy of that world file.

Logging off and Logging on resets the world outside of the space protected by the Flame Altars.

I have had that problem with my personal hosted server - password didn't work - I simply changed the password. I think a few people have had it.
