I can join the server ingame without issue, but I'm not able to join from the steam game server window, it would seem

there are two port numbers, a game port and query port
:15637 is the query port
:15656 is the game player joining port

Sorry, it took a bit of time to manage and test that, but it works thanks to you! Indeed, something was wrong with the ports, i had something like query port :28400 and RCON port :28416 by default. When i changed them to what you said, it didn't take, but modified the query port to :28415, which worked to join a game. The server is now visible to my friends and they can join without issue.

@pastel matrix if you're still getting the issue, try modifying your ports numbers like Sphere suggested. I did that with FileZilla (GPortal suggests using it) and modified the file enshrouded_server.json (do a backup of that file, before)

Even if they're able to join after I create the world?
They just can't see it until I join it. Once I join, server is visible. Not visible unless I'm in it. Once I join, I can quit and they're fine
