Thanks, i will describe the process i used as precisely as i can :
I turned my dedicated server off, went to the /savegame folder, erased the one currently in it.
Copied the 3ad85aea and 3ad85aea_info file in this folder, rebooted the server and then joined -> the map was sadly blank.
I hope i'm not doing something obviously wrong

Trying to join dedicated server off my machine: Ports forwarded 15636&37. Added via steam server browser with local address x.x.x.xxx:15637
Cancel my issue, don't know what changed but restarted server and game and it worked this time.

i think the .backup is just a copy of the 3ad85aea the servers does automatically

Looks like the server finds the savefile, but it crashes while loading it

Do you have any way to reset your server without starting it ? Maybe the issue comes from the first run ?

yup, same here. can't even connect anymore
issue is when you remove the 2 files and import the new one . he not reconized the files
and didt make new one
server running without save now
after remove the 2 file , restart the server and join in game , new save is created
save from local pc vs dedicated file

I'm still able to connect, I just have absolutely no clue what files to move over. The server is overwriting the 3ad file

i think in the end it just overrides it anyway to be able to save
So the short of it is, we can move characters and play w/e character we like. But we can't move migrate our worlds from local to dedicated..
I tried and tweaked many different things, still doesn't work 😫
It seemed to work for Grimhir using GPortal, might be a host problem then (Redjio and i are using Verygames)
Just tried with a GPortal server, it worked.
With VeryGame Not

ok i guy i ve found the issue.
When you upload your 2 files , dont use filezilla are other software from Gporal , Verygame , ... use the direct upload from Gportal website are Verygame Website ftp.
If you use a ftp client he dosnt give the good chmod to the file
@inner grotto in what order should you import the local savedata? - 1 reinstall server, start it and let it generate its initial savegame and then turn server off -> 2. swap files and restart?

That's exactly what i ended up doing ! Turn off the server when it has generated its initial save file, turn off, swap and restart!

i got it to work!
ya i had a similar issue like redjio i think. uploading the files via ftp doesnt work
had to use the webgui from nitrado
and at the same time, updating the json only works via ftp somehow

I moved the world yesterday from the dedicated to my local one because the servers where going downhill under the load and we played on my local one and now i want to migrate back to the dedicated
just those two files via webgui
depends on your hosting i suppose
just make sure the initial savegame has been created
then shut down server, delete the existing files and import your local coop savegame
start server and it worked

does it take forever to shutdown / start the server at nitrado ?
i am at 4netplayers and it takes like 5-10 mins for the process
i hope its the last time i have to do it today
better to wait a bit extra, than risking having to do everything all over again
Anyone try migrating server files from one host to another? running into Game Creation Failed after migration.
Yes, I just migrated my servers from one to another. All I did was move the contents of the save Game folder.
However, I had the same issue and it took multiple restarts to clear it
Some people have said one restart does other people have said it’s taken four or more it’s unusual
Can confirm, we got it working after restarting 4 times. Potential caching issue?
