It's been a few years, when did they come out? I was trying tonread them all in order. Got to The Phantom Menace (was somewhere around 160 books at that point) and realized I'd missed 5, or rather they'd come out in the time I'd been reading.
I read so many books most have blurred together.
Favourites were the Darth Bane trilogy, and the story of Darth Plagueis. Though the Revan books were cool too.
I wanted more from the very very early origins

I'll mention there are some really good dramatised audiobooks for star wars too. With music and sounds, it almost turns it into a movie its awesome!

The Old Republic MMO game has some of the greatest trailers of all time imo
The game is not bad either, the 8 unique story lines, 1 for each class with 4 on Republic side and 4 on Empire side, are for the most part really well made and exciting

My favorite game is Knights of the Old Republic though
That game was a game changer for me when I played it on Xbox like 16 years ago

I never really got into KOTOR, but I guess it was already pretty old by the time somebody offered me a copy. It's left a mark on many though, so there's probably a reason!

It's difficult to get into, took me 3 or 4 tries, new characters that is, before I actually got through the entire game
Once you get into it it's a nice experience even though combat ain't my preferred way of doing combat as it's basically turn based and a bit buggy
The story and characters are perfect though
If you care about graphics, yes those can be heard to get past

I have to agree, the trailers were some of the greatest of all time. I played The Old Republic when it first came out and the unique character quest were pretty fun. It's interesting though, everyone has told me I should try Kotor but I just couldn't. Now, Star Wars Galaxies back in the day was a game changer for me, absolutely loved the game. I've always been a Star Wars fan but the games for me really didn't do any justice. I've always wanted a mix between Warhammer and Diablo style Star Wars game. There is so much you could do with that. Also, I've always wanted a Open World Star Wars game kind of like Assassins Creed. Those 2 would be my wish list and I could die happy afterwards. LOL

I do youtube videos on occasion and I've been working on a video for a Star Wars game that is kind of like a dream thing
A open world Star Wars game set on earth (or any other planet with a diverse environment really, earth was just the first thing that popped into my mind) were you get stranded alongside many Jedis, Republic troops but also Siths, dark jedis and their troops

The combat would be a bit of a mix between Jedi Survivor and The Force Unleashed, not in a overpowered way but more in the way you can manipulate things in TFU

I just recently downloaded a mod for Jedi Outcast were the game turns into a VR game, got it on Quest 2
It's pretty awesome but the game is still hard as nail at times

The problem with my job is that we have a lot of new technicians that want to rush through the job, so they don't read the labels, they just assume. Problem with that is, medications get mixed together and if it gets missed, could potentially kill harm or kill someone. We have a lot of different checks to help avoid this but people just like to take shortcuts.

As for people, customers etc.. lol, I'll deal with an angry nurse anyday over and angry patient. 😆

Nah, I'm about 200KM NWW from Manila, latest track says its turning north. Packing 155MPH winds gusting to 190MPH, its a monster (smashed Guam pretty hard). and I happen to live in a rich area that is currently flourishing and on the rise of getting more people to live here LMAO

My only problem with No Man's Sky is that it's too easy to "see" the procedural generation, and it makes the whole game feel boring to me. All the updates they've done have been really cool, but after hopping in for a few hours, I start to feel the sameyness.

One of my friends said it best: Imagine if they took the entire procedural engine power of NMS and instead made you a single, large world to explore. All of the different systems would come together to make that world more and more interesting instead of a bunch of disparate worlds that all end up feeling the same. It would be amazing.

I can tell you that with games we are WAAAAAY away from having AI actually make games. There's also the difference between having an AI make a game and having an AI make a GOOD game.

I think AI will be a great thing for assistance with certain things, like using it to generate a realistic-looking world map for a game, and then having it procedurally place POIs and roads between towns and things like that in a way that look good. Things like that will be a huge boon to game development as that's a lot of tedium that can be circumvented by using AI to make things easier.

I work with automation in games, and there are certain things that just won't work well with automation or AI because of the way things interact with each other. The number of interconnected systems that have to go together to make games function is massive, and while AI will be a big boon for a lot of them in the next few years it's going to take a lot longer for us to be in danger of actually replacing human effort.

Not that that's going to stop big megacorporations from buying into it and laying off huge amounts of low level employees only to realize that the games that their generative AI can produce are complete shit.

Thankfully we're seeing a sort of indie revolution where more and more studios are popping up that are making interesting projects (like Enshrouded) and their plans are looking really cool. And with crowdfunding, early access and investments becoming more common for promising indie studios, that's allowing more projects to realize their vision.

As a musician with music on iTunes and all over YouTube, and a small time voice actor - I’ve already seen how greedy tech dummies have been able to destroy the the music industry and voice over industry simply by making AI voice so easily accessible and tbh can be pretty difficult to detect the real from AI.
I’m an advocate for humans wanting AI to help for the greater cause. But I’m also not ignorant enough to see that we will inevitably use it for the wrong reasons and eventually will be dealing with some serious repercussions similar to COVID-19.
Meaning - if we wait around for patient 0 and do nothing …

At the old house for the dnd rooms I used 3d black foam brick wall panel stickers and it looked super cool but it was a BIG mistakes I do not recommend at all.

It took a week of scrubbing and sanding and several Reddit threads to get our walls in a decent enough state for painting to get old house ready to list for sale.

Honestly, after going back and forth via emails w/ this Keen dude that promised me a spot in this beta, and other empty promises made to me about making YouTube content for this and whatnot…
I think I’m done with this project.
I’ve learned the hard way that there is no point in investing time and care into one way relationships, and this is a good example of how I’ve put my best foot forward only to get it stepped on.

The survival game genre is missing a MMO where you can do everything that this game is showing, but in server with 10000 players. Really working together. Valheim is supper nice, but get boring very fast because it is basically a single player game. If this game want to last for longer, consider having repetead content that are nice to do with several players togehter. Also consider the PK system with bag loot. So players can kill others, but became a target for everybody else, same as in TIBIA.
