Bought the game at your recommendation and after watching some vids about it. It's been amazing to play so far.
@finite saffron Thanks for recommending me Insurgency Sandstorm and their PvE mode. My gaming group bought it and we had a blast yesterday. Looking forward to playing it more
Glad you like it! And yeah it's just a really solid shooter, I am surprised it's not more popular tbh
Now I have alotta Screenshots for you guys from Valheim. Because, as I was going to start another playthrough, my friends decided to join me and build a straight village where we're at. Everyone except me, is at this stage only in the Bronze Age. I got my first 10 Iron and startet to build with stone. Here they come!
*Disclaimer: All of this is done without cheats / Dev-Commands.
wait, you don't have a curtain wall or defenses of any kind around your settlement?
some people don't put up defenses, because if mobs cannot reach you, they'll destroy whatever is in between you both. The settlements without barriers would attract mobs to the player during raids. Casual spawns will attack outside furniture and smelters.
I'd rather trolls whack walls than my beautifully decorated home
I just fight them head on too. But no worries, a wall and palisade will be added. We just lacked materials (because I build that much with stone).
fun times
Wait didnt sacred two come out like 15 years ago? Or is this a new sacred two?
Keen actually developed Sacred 3, which for a long time was rated as the worst German game on Steam. It was not a happy development cycle
something similar happen with Torchlight 3, comforting everyone is difficult. If sacred 3 launch today maybe be a hit, because the public of today give to diablo 4 ranks between 8-9...
It's fun to think that if something like Diablo 4 released 15 years ago, it'd be a dead game.
wait they did? holy shit.. yeah sacred 3 was not pleasent....
sacred 3 didnt even have blind guardian did they ?
🤫 iunno I just know it was very rough on the team and they vowed "never again"
What did they vow to never do again? Sacred?
Looking back in time where did I buy sacred one and sacred two, Oh yeah I think I had those on... Physical media
I have it sort of I think it's at my parents house in their garage in a chest

oh no, I forgot about NightingGale. I'd have 1 month of Enshrouded before jumping into this.
Honestly, that's a good timeline. A month of deep diving into Enshrouded will be enough to want to take a break for a bit.
Enshrouded and Nightingale are probably my top 2 list spots right now
For me right now enshrouded > nightingale… cause I see the vision of where the game is going and played it..
Nightingale has some weird promises and ideas .. tingles my no man sky senses
I’ll try it out though probably
Nightingale sounded great when they initially described it, but how often do games keep that initial vision?
I mean what they've showed so far seems like it's keeping to that core idea
I agree, playing a game is a great way for it to either shoot to the top of the list, or disappear from it forever 😝 Glad Enshrouded is the former

looks so awesome)

kinda wholesome when the developers ACTUALLY PLAY THEIR OWN GAME
I worked in anti-cheat for a previous company and I loooooved when users came to me with their exploits and stuff, made my job a lot easier

Phew, it's been quite a while since there's been a strict WoW upload on here, but you know, I just had to wrap up this amazing expansion with something. It was so am...
think I'm lacking a lot of context to find it funny
Check out the five-minute gameplay reveal trailer for Blight: Survival, a third-person cinematic action-adventure survival game that its developers describe as an "action-horror roguelite" – with four-player co-op as well. A new blight is raising the dead, and you'll use your choice of medieval weapons and warfare to stop it. Wishlist it on Stea...
My most HYPED medieval game.
Besides enshrouded though 🤔
I dread to think
I probably played an ungodly amount of minecraft as a teenager but it didn't track hours back then (probably for the best)
On Steam my highest is Warframe with over 700
My highest on steam is just under 6000
Same! I played a TON of minecraft when I was younger.
sheesh, what game is it?
If you added up my time console gaming id imagine minecraft and probably terraria I have at least double that in each
Rimworld, second place is prison architect with 300 lol
Nice! An amazing game to put 6000 hours in.
i think the numbers are a bit off though, i should definitely have more than that in both of them
probably only tracks when steam is online or something
No it tracks offline to, tmk at least.
All my hours are in mordhau, one of the best medieval games. If only the developers would push out updates 😂
ah well I guess 8,2 months in one game is enough
I used to play individual games a lot more as a teenager, as I got older I started to variety game a lot more. Usually get bored of most games after a couple hundred hours at most these days
If I didn't start getting repetitive strain injury I'd probably still be playing osu to this day though, I have a looot of time in that game...
I ALWAYS end up going back to mordhau, its like an addiction that never goes away no matter how hard you try to beat it.
The vast majority of mine are maybe max 200, there's a few pc ones i play more and then console which ive had for absolutely ages
Me with terraria ... i dont think i can go a year without a playthrough of it
These are my top games.
nearly 1000 in rust, my prayers are with you
I stopped playing the game a long time ago, do not worry!
Though I do always get the urge to redownload it...
Then my prayers stay with you lol
Rust is one of those games I'd probably love to play if it wasn't populated with humans
Felt, the game is VERY toxic.
i only have one game with over 1k hours. then total war warhammer 2 was going well, but they went and ruined it, so i guess it'll stay at 770 hours forever now
my steam highest is PUBG, but I think Minecraft is hands-down the winner
Oh no, I am sorry for your loss.
as a kid i used to play a lot of stronghold and homm, but it was before all that online nonsense, so not sure how many hrs it was actually. it was a better time lol
I think "what games from your formative years do you still think about?" is a more interesting question
(that being said, i very much appreciate steam and not having to leave house to actually buy anything)
HoMM 3 would definitely make my list
Spore and sims 3 🙏
i jumped the homm train late, i played shit out of homm4 and i think 5 was my favorite. i know that's unpopular opinion tho
when i got into it 3 had a lot of expansions and i didn't even know where to start
3 had creation tools and what's insane is I think there was a DLC that included a buttload of community content? Heady days of thinking a thing you made in your bedroom could be played by someone else, elsewhere
to that list I'd add Homeworld, Civ 2, SimCity 2000, and Cryo's Dune
yeah, i kinda wish i got into it a little bit earlier and started with 3. but i think i was playing first stronghold at the time, so i didn't have time
also not sure if it was just a local thing, but there was this historical strategy knights of the cross, that was fun too
...okay, i found game with the same title on steam, but it's some anime bs, i think it just gave me cancer
TF2, Bad Company 2, Mount and Blade: Warband, Harvest Moon FoMT
LOZ a link to the past, megaman x, kirby superstar, yoshi's island, Starfox 64, diddy kong racing, metroid fushion, just to name a few
diddy kong racing was insane
I only remember that battle map on the beach where you have hoverboats
I frequently hum music from that game all these years later

this song lives in my head
looks good! one of my good friends is really into 40k stuff
I wish I had the patience for it haha
some of the titans he painted
He was super excited to show me this when he got one but im only a surface level 40k fan so it went over my head XD
Those are super expensive and super complex builds like holy crap they look Nice. I see why your friend was excited to show you its because of the amount of time they spent washing the resin, building, bracing, priming, painting, and sealing the models. Very well done if I do say so my self tell your friend nice work!
I've been doing 40k since February this year and I'm not the slowest painter but I'm also not the fastest but the 2 and a half inch tall marine took 18 hours to paint 3 hours to build and 15 minuets to prime. All that being said I'd give a rough estimint of probably 2 weeks of time (If you worked 24 hour days for 2 weeks)with no breaks.
I actually really want to play 40k, but I don't really have a lot of interest in the painting aspect. The paints people do are always super impressive but I can't imagine spending that long just ptting it together.
This is the best stronghold game ever:
you can always get someone else to do it for you. My friend does commissions all the time
or you can play with a grey army and some people might scoff at it but who cares lmao
Yeah, I've thought about it, but getting someone to build/paint models for me is... not cheap
For people that don't know, it starts with "Abomination"
loved discovering the abominations in my latest run! Added some terror to otherwise fairly boring swamp runs
You've never met them before? I wonder.
I mean I hadn't played since before Mistlands, so when I checked it out, Abominations were also new
Oh. Then you'll love the Mistlands and also upcoming Ashlands. But didn't knew abominations came later in.
had not, not have not. I have thoroughly rinsed the Mistlands update, built a base under an infested mine and everything... the works
I was a real caveman on my first playthrough of Mistlands. I dug myself into a mountain to protect myself from regular invasions. The second time I built my final boss castle with a prison and a lot ballistaes.
never used those, deemed a bit too resource-intensive
I really need to sort out a Valheim server... but I r lazy. 😛
After trying them, I won't refuse them anymore. 3 of them can take on a Gjall. Above all, they are really good against slow or flying opponents. But beware. If you don't match them with a trophy they will shoot you too.
yes, this is where we talk about Dune (Cryo, 1992)
The introduction to the 1992 PC computer game Dune by Cryo Interactive.
right up my alley
the visuals are based on Lynch's movie but some are hilariously dated
the soundtrack is really good
i love the video game music of that era
this is one of my favorites from then lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N98gmbBiXMc
it also sounded different based on which system you were on. The atari CD vs MS Dos vs console versions
u gotta hook it up to an oscilloscope and see what the sound looks like on x/y lol
what I loved the most about that era was that genres were much more fluid
Dune for instance has the looks of Loom in terms of interface, but is actually real time with management of spice production and your fremen troops
ill have to try it, pretty much any game i play from back then i end up liking
whereas "Dune 2" (actually developed simultaneously by another studio, but came slightly later) wholesale invented real time strategy
Dune 2 was Westwood studios iirc (rip)
i do hate how games from back then would wildly change the game play for sequels lol
Castlevania (NES)
This is a playthru of Castlevania on NES. It covers all levels and all secrets I can find.
Dune 2000 is probably my all time favorite RTS
@fair dove Quick question. Any idea where I can find the Arbiter's Bow? Been in Dragons Grove searching.

Ahh yes the very real game the day before.
the game that got removed from steam for awhile
Yeah they lost rights to the name , but got it back.
I'm very curious on how the game will actually play compared to the trailer videos
It is concerning how much bad press this game gets
It does get a lot. That's why I just play it and make my own decision. If it's lame it's lame , if not I get a new game to play haha.
i hear dev abandon it game other dev buy it i not pay it for mind be scam for resons but we see
If it actually releases and is legit , could be huge. The graphics alone are crazy.
Bit like The Marvels....
Seriously, ignore the armchair critics.
It's quite good. 👍
You dont know how good the game is since no one has played it XD
I did hear that about the Marvels
There's a play through on YT. Seems legit.
Usually streamers get early access. No one did. But the video is actual game play and not trailer footage.
Ahh.. all i could find was a trailer video from a couple days ago which looks heavily curated
I was hoping for like a "first hour" of the game video because that would be at least a little bit more accurate on what the game experience would be like
Its really hard to see how a game actually plays when its like 4 second screens of assets with zero gameplay
I'll believe it when I see it, I'll wait to see what it looks like when it comes out.
It is very enjoyable..
As much as opinions are subjective, it's always better to form an educated opinion than simply accept someone else's because they are usually talking sshh.. lol
I have this and it's fun.

Love how beautiful that game is
is this with higher graphic settings? I keep mine on low.

Glad if I can do such. 😄
We all need something to pass the time before we can deconstruct Enshrouded.
The Palace I'm building on portal knight (nintendo switch)
Ignore the shocking quality of this one, but my one on switch is meant to be a refined version of my xbox one.
Currently stuck trying to build a better entrance
needs a horseshoe staircase imo
Maybe if there were smaller blocks
It would just be too wide to do in PK, well at least indoors
Just make the house bigger? Then it'll fit.

Ark Console delay , theres a shocker
theres a game i will never try lol
I told myself that once , and wish I had never. Now I keep going back to it. ><
Hahah if only it wasn't a buggy mess and doesn't require a nasa computer to run it
Yeah its a mess. Luckily I just got a new computer and it doesnt want to blow up when I play it.
Anybody want to try Star Citizen? It's free the 17th through the 30th
I've got a referral code, STAR-F7KV-NTB9

looks interesting 👀
the trailer breaks a basic rule though: don't start your reveal trailer with 21 seconds that are essentially a glorified studio logo

@burnt spear interesting news from the Dune Awakening stuff, as a big Dune nerd I'm mildly interested
Agreed. I can't wait to see how they handle worm riding
I see vehicles on there so I'm like 🧐
but we'll see. I really liked Dune 2000 when I was a kid, despite it being built on Dune 2 and throwing the "no vehicles in the sands of Arrakis" thing to the wind
I mean, there are limited vehicles in the sands, they're just the Spice Collectors... And they have a horrible safety record. 🤣
Their "days without incident" counter only goes up to 2.

the thing with a flak gun on top doesn't look like a spice harvester
Oh I understand. I was talking canonically, though.
Nothing good is made if you don't have some level of ambition for it. Enshrouded, itself, is very ambitious in what it's working to accomplish with building its own engine and everything, so sometimes things work and other times they don't. Let's just hope for the former in this case.
yup
Any one ideas for interior decoration? (The Valheim fellas), just remember: I'm just at the start of the iron age.
How about a nice fireplace?
Thats what i prefer to do in my house
Isn't that nice?
Banners, rugs and item stands with weapons and shields on the wall
Indeed
some horizontal item stands placed on the table, with tankards in them
and food items
rugs of any kind
Have not killed wolves / loxes yet, as I said, I'm ironing out that actually.
wooden slats to split the room, make it less of a big empty space
you can make deer skin rugs
or troll hide rugs
These lie around already... Troll hide rugs would be new for me (vanilla, sure not modded?)
guess I'm misremembering
but I mean... you have two rugs in the same room, and that's it. It's not exactly flooding the room
Sometimes this gave me ugly overlaps. But yeah, I got a few ideas. Have you ever built so much that you ran out of ideas about what to build?
in those cases I usually go about making a new base altogether
in an interesting place
I tend to get to a point where there's not much point in extending my base any further since everything is covered, the flow is efficient and the base is well secured.
And that's usually about when we reach the end of current content and start waiting for the new content.
I just have people in my community who build none stop to the point where my ram is maxed out on my hosted server lol gets ridiculous 😂
I did click away , so spot on.

see? It just works!
skyrim
The question there is, "How many times are you willing to buy it?"
I bought it twice... Once normally and once for VR.
The EA sports jingle is probably the longest surviving splash screen isn't it?
cause I know valve changed theirs, that's the only other one I could think of
(for a studio that keeps releasing new games, old games that are still live don't count)
Hmmm... Next closest one I can think of is Sega....
SEEEEEEEEGA
Oh yeah that one might get it if it's still unchanged
Been a while since I played a sega game tbh
It's had minor alterations over the years.
Ea sports has changed a bit too but it's still the same core jingle
But still recognizable as Sega.
Guess thats better. The new pic "Waiting for Enshrouded"?
Satisfactory update 8 is live
it has changed several times since the 90s SEGAAAA
now it's a very loud blink with an eye with the logo inset
usually at the start of a trailer for extra shock
Wouldn't buy. Don't like companys watching me.

just dlc you can buy now
Remnant 2 was very good, probably worth the DLC
Significantly worse than the sonic dash sega logo
gotta love Icarus
I didn't like Icarus mostly due to how foundations work (or how they don't). I tried to build a house on a marginally uneven piece of ground (because you can't landscape) and could put a roof on one side of the house because the floor board was slightly off the ground on that side, so the roof kept collapsing.
And it was only a 1 story build. Not like it was a 2 story house.
I mostly just wish Icarus had more of a fantastical setting. We have so many "regular" survival games that its hard for me to get too excited about the "almost successful terraforming" premise
That snow does look real nice though
Not really it looks pretty bland tbh

Order of the Elements release year 2025. Dang, it looks fairly good so far, too. I would like to team up with others in that type of game, one day. It needs a minimum of 6GB GPU with recommended of 12GB GPU. Similar to Enshrouded, actually.
voxel?
for Enshrouded we actually aim for 4GB though
it wasn't doable for the demo, but it's still very much our plan for Early Access
Another one for the “Waiting for Enshrouded” series I’m starting here.
(Just to possibly annoy CUB.

Now go make a pretty base in 7 Days to die or Conan.

MMO with building. Shape the world how you want.
MMO with building. My dream MMO to cause untold destruction to everyone's creation
The dragon pic looks cool in Pax Dei. I think the party is undergeared though.
From the sounds of it, the peaceful area will probably become a metropolis, but then there will be areas where you venture out into that you can't build and stuff. That's where your "adventure" areas are
So it will be like valheim, newer players need to get away from the beginning to start a peaceful house.
In a crowded server with previous residents.
I'd probably liken it to Archeage, where the "buildable" areas are just PACKED and it's impossible to find a spot to place a plot.
It was really fun until it got over-MTX'd and died
It was one of those games where they literally decided to sell power on the store and it just killed the in game economy entirely
But the big thing from it that I loved was that you had this idea of "Trade packs" where you build them and carry them on your back. The goal was to either get them to elsewhere on your continent for money, or to the other continent for gilda stars (the currency for building bigger houses and unlocking recipes). But if you died, people could take your pack.
It was a great midpoint between softcore MMOs with no loss and hardcore MMOs where you lose everything. You didn't lose your gear and stuff, but the packs could take significant effort. And as you progressed through the game you unlocked new things that let you transport more packs, like boats that could carry 20+ of them.
So there was this great teamwork element where you wanted your guild to help you do a pack run to the other continent but you had to be careful of other players that could assault you on the sea. There were great boat battles and stuff that were a ton of fun. And if your boat got sunk, you just had to pay to resurrect it, but all the packs that were on it sank to the bottom of the ocean. So the winner of the fight had to then do a diving expedition to recover the packs fro the bottom of the ocean.
Reminds me of maplesyory
Yeah, I never really played maplestory, but I've heard about its untimely death
Pax Dei the plots are super small and you can only build in a good amount of area so far by combining plots with other people. Also, you can't destroy other people's stuff so no greifing for those that like to :p
Yeah, that's kinda why I liken it to Archeage. You had plots that other people couldn't bother. But with an MMO and limited space, it's possible that the area for plots might run out.
A lot of carpet?
Yes, the carpet cleaner loves coming around.
There pretty cool no matter what game you're making it in
It beats waxing parquet all the time 🙂
bro, are you part of ironRealm Community? They are planning to release EXOS. A heavily modded Valheim MMORPG. I'm excited for that...
As of yet not, eventually worth taking a look into it.
That thrill, when a Wraith hunts you and you only got 25 HP.
I loved archeage... while you couldn't just steal crops unless they set the wrong permissions.. you could def bother people in the unsafe zones. My guild and I really disliked this other guild and we basically griefed them and forced them to leave zones because we wanted their land. We just prevented them from being able to farm properly by just killing them over and over again all day.
Year 1 of Archeage was such a good time... its unfortunate it turned into what it did
Yeah, they didn't do a perfect job with their plot system, but it was a really cool thing to be able to see all the different houses and buildings built all over the world.
before bots and macros.. it felt so good to perfectly plant crops and get "extras" in because you min maxed it so well XD
As a fan of pvp.. i dont think many games pulled off what Archeage did... even just pirating fishing boats and clippers was awesome.
Meanwhile, I: Defeat the swamp with gardening tools.
This is the way
And collecting taxes from the local trolls.
I'm craving for enshrouded so badly yet it won't be available for play this Xmas break. 😥 Any suggestions for similar type of games to fill my time until the game is released? Thanks for recommendations in advance😉
I tried Valheim but could get pass the first few before getting turned off by its UI. Not sure if that's any help.
Portal knights!!
And I don't like too competitive PVP style game either
Oh yes, heard about that. Good reminder, let me check it out
Any other alternatives?
Played minecraft, Terraria too.

if you are okayish with older games: Outward is quite nice. There is no base building though.
I am stuck on the Ark update atm. Also Conan got something new again too i think?
I trued outward, but i felt i was cheating because i used traps instead of learning enemy iframes n quick kills. Its nice, but im just bad at souls like games.
Huh. Found some really old Screenshots on my phone.
And yes... I build the first time a sick stone arena for the Moder fight.
if well-implemented, that must have been really fun!
my buddy and I had built a cool portal room at the top of a mountain, protected from drakes and all. Made me think of your pic #2
Yea. I was a crazy builder. Nowadays I can't really motivate in Valheim to build excessive, because it kills the FPS of others or causes lagg.
just build in a new empty area
But most of the times the pretty areas aren't empty and everything needs a purpose.
the purpose could be "it looks super cool"
Guess I'll need really the Ashlands to come out... But hey. As we talk, I could farm more black marble in my hardcore seed with the sick endboss castle... At least when my shift ends at 4 PM.
So I can start building in the Ashlands directly when I find a good lake of lava. And I could upgrade my weapons and armor now to 3... 🤔
I thought content for the new biomes only spawned on new maps?
you mean stock up on materials on your current map and transfer everything over?
Nah. I'll farm and ship that just in my hardcore world. No Trawnsfer allowed by myself.
Btw. when you didn't explore the whole area, the map will update without problems to the current patch. If you were there then there could be patches of land being just empty. But given you didn't explore the whole south Ashlands should generate itself. Second.
From the Valheims discord FAQ:
What will happen to my world when the game is updated?
We can’t know this 100%. The things you have already built should still remain, and ideally you will be able to keep playing on your existing world. However, it’s not certain that you will be able to access all of the new game content without starting a new world.
*As of yet that functions just fine. Hildir the new merchant just spawns anywhere in the meadows in approx. 5.000m distance from the worlds center, her 3 miniboss dungeons generate in plains, black forest and mountains.
The only thing that changed in the mistlands update was the height of the land. They lowered the landmasses so buildings ended up floating and got destroyed
I see
Undiscovered territory got the update, but if you walked into Ashlands islands before update, they will remain as barren as you found them.

FEESH.
But in the middle of a field? I don't grow 'em here!
I've seen stranger things in Valheim.
So... You've seen the series "Stranger Valheims"?
No, but I'm pretty sure I saw Slender Man out there somewhere...
That was just Odyn. Trust me. He's just coming to sell you some crops.
I could never get into valheim. The building system made me want to hit my head against the wall.
Hopefully a wall you build yourself.
Can't even accomplish that
Valheim building is so good T_T
I tried it pretty early on. Maybe it got better?
It was, it was definitely one of my best memories from MMOs until it all fell apart after they started selling power in the store. The game wasn't perfect but the environment it created with the trade packs was excellent. One of the things that gives me hope for Ashes of Creation is that they've cited Archeage's system as a big inspiration for the way they want to set up the world.
Have you seen the Ashes Caravan video? I think the pvp for it would be pretty fun if they end up doing it right... blocking bridges etc seems like it could be pretty bad though haha
Yeah, I'm kind of reserving judgment until I get to play it. I have a friend who got (paid) into the alpha and is super hyped, but I've seen enough MMOs come and go that I'm not going all in until I see more gameplay and maybe get to try it myself.
Has anybody tried Citadel: Forged with fire? I know a not a lot of people play, but I've heard some good thing about the changes and improvements they've made over the years. Would a second opinion on it.

Dysmantle is a single player or 2 pkayer shared screen/local party survival where you can break down buildings for supplies. Its top down perspective, with a blueprint skill tree and level up system. Just a warning, I did get burned out in 24 hrs but pushed through it. Mobs will respawn but buildings do not. The world is so massive that you will have plenty of supplies, but highly unlikely that you hardlock yourself.
Not that good
I mean I have kept my base up over the years but to my knowledge the devs dropped the project so its just in the same state as it was. Still a nice game though and enjoyed playing it for a time.
braaaaaaaaaaawlhalla?
All your screenshots motivated me to start valheim again too 😄
May Odyn be with u, dear Viking friend!
Watching those who got lucky enough to get a key for Alpha of Pax Dei, I can say while it looks good it won't be a direct competitor to Enshrouded, at least not any time soon. By the looks of it, they've got maybe a year before it's out. Granted it's MMO-light vs a Multiplayer Co-Op that is Enshrouded, I'm more speaking of the Base Building & RPG elements of both games.
omg the game looks insane
i just saw the trailer
The Trailer looks NOTHING like Alpha. While it may have been in-game footage, they took some serious liberties with additional CGI or what not. Actual Alpha footage isn't THAT impressive, yet, but to be fair it IS Alpha after all.
yeah yeah im aware, i saw the gameplay as well
But, I'm super hyped for Pax Dei
im also so excited for this game too omg
only thing i kinda feels like a tiny thorn in my shoe is the existance of wands idk
but thank god staffs exist
Oh, I was one of those online when "the news" dropped that it'd be launching in EA on Jan 24th, We were very sad pandas that day
Wands are useful, just not AS useful as Melee. And it's funny, I usually hate Melee (other than Tanking) but in Enshrouded it just feels right
u played the demo?!?!?!
OMG LUCKY
every single day of it, put in over 70 hours
😭
Good news, only 67 days now, isn't it? 🙂
Found all the building Blocks, made videos of them, made videos of a few Demo Bases, was good times
holyshit that message i read on here was old then
Jan 24th
unless the Devs want to give us a late XMas present and push it up to early Jan wink wink
Within the Demo area yes
nice
There were things missing though, that are clearly in other Biomes
but it was fully complete within the Demo area which was quite large to be honest, maybe 1/8th the world map
OMG im so pumped
Building was complete, just lacking in decorations of course
I LOOOOVE building as well holshit
and the fact that this game has npcs is moah
even the beta was in a really good shape. a lot of us wanted keen to just release EA directly after beta 😄
only had 1 Boss and it was a pushover but that's to be expected. The BIG issue was various GPU's had serious issues with the game
thats so cool
oh damn
Enshrouded gameplay with DeLindsay. Today's Cribs video I'm calling Bridge Troll because we all know Trolls live under Bridges. This one follows the same principal of 'hiding in plain sight' to keep the bad things at bay. The save file for this World is in the check-out-my-build channel on Enshrouded's Discord.

indeed 🙂 and - that is a really big good sign for a developer IMHO - they listened to the beta feedback of the players

That Bridge Troll Base was built by fully hollowing out the existing Bridge down to 1 tile thick. Took me ~7 hours rushing since we only had 8 hours per World to play with
Don't worry, it'll look and BE even better come Jan 24th when EA is out and we get MOAR land to go explore and MOAR building stuff to use
literally anything
dig to the mantle of the world, build up to the sky box, destroy an entire town, build your own town, all of it
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSS
Build the Mines of Moria, or Minas Tirith
there are limits because of the Flame Altar but there are also ways to manipulate that even
Or maybe you're a Hobbiton type of person, you can build that too
did u decorate everything inside that bridge?
or was it a prexisting structure?
and u just hollowed it out
yes
i love how well hidden it is
After hollowing it out, I placed every single item inside it
that was the idea
hidden in plain site
sight
mhm
there were also some videos CUB uploaded featuring some of the buildings built during the beta. There is a lot of nice buildings that show just how versatile the building aspect is
when u build to textures overlap and start bugging sometimes?
Hard to say, so yes the textures do overlap but it's Voxel based so it does kind of weird things at times, based of squares not polygons
well, the textures do overlap but that was nothing that gave me problems per se. i actually worked it into my designs
depending on what you imagined in your head before building you might have to adjust
overlapping is fine, sometimes they start twitching
but 99% of the time the overlapping is a bonus that improvesd the building
nice
If you like Building things, if you like "do it your way" then you'll LOVE Enshrouded. From what I saw in the Demo, I'd say this is as close to my perfect game for my play style than anything to date, even Valheim
i have 700hours in valhiem
The only "limits" that kind of annoyed me but it's fine really, is we aren't allowed to build ANYWHERE near the Shrines (dark Marble looking ancient structures of power). Like you couldn't get within about a football field distance which was annoying because the area above the Shrine that we were sent to get the Alchemist was pretty cool looking
I've got ~600 hours
30% of that was me leaving my pc open so my friends can access the world
that is completely fine tbh and im glad its the way it is
u can try to mimic it somehow idk if they provide the same building materials
They didn't in the Demo area, but that doesn't mean nowhere in the world.
6 or 8 total, that we're aware of, but we only know of the Blacksmith and the Alchemist. We've been told there's a Carpenter also
the alchemist feels a little bit like a mage. there were blacksmith, alchemist, hunter, carpenter and farmer/cook in the beta
noooice
Alchemist is likely for Potions and maybe the Staff ammo. Carpenter is likely for the Furniture for our bases
the hunter gave access to the hunter armor sets, alchemist to mage sets
staff ammo? theres no mana :0
There's mana
cook/farmer made cooking faster and gave better recipes
and the ability to grow stuff yourself
but the Staff requires "Bolts" of ammo
oh cool
carpenter gave a lot of nice furniture
can u cook like in valhiem?
it's a tad different
it goes way faster in enshrouded
It's really cool actually, you sit at a fire and just "cook", at least in the Demo area
they said u can cook indoors for better recipes too
if enshrouded you have to cook over the fire at the beginning, which takes a really long time (too long imho), but as soon as you get the farmer/cook npc and the cooking utensils for her, she does instant-cooking for you.
so from "a little to long" to "fast as f*** boi"
oh thank god
I don't remember exactly but I think it's like a dozen people
i think there are some more. CUB or toast might have insight
cuz iron gate literally take their sweet time cooking shi* for us, but its fine tbh
Apparently its 47 people (likely several of those are non-game dev roles). https://www.keengames.com/about
to be fair, Ashlands is close
yeah
then they only have the Deep North and whatever they've been planning for the Ocean Biome
Enshrouded's Engine is theirs, they built it. That alone shows they're not a fly-by-night Studio
oh wow
And the Demo was in superior operating condition (for those like myself that it worked well for on a 3070 Ti) than even Starfield at launch. Hell, Starfield today is still a buggy mess that drops FPS like a crack ho running from the cops when in New Atlantis
i have the same gpu
nice

It looks good, but it also looks 2-3 years out at least. Getting combat in and making it good is going to be real important.
It has my attention too, but I'm curious how many hours after launch until the landscape is dotted with dongs and random staircases going to nowhere, and how they'll address that
Lol yeah. Hard to stop dick-shaped structures from happening.
Well, you see, the aerodynamics of benefiting the most from air resistance requires the tip to be the smallest point, expanding through the rest of the structure, keeping a cylindrical shape. In the case the house may someday fly, 2 very large spherical containers of fuel shall be placed on each side of said structure for the most optimal balance.
It also helps with uh... rain dispersion or something?
Exactly

Anyone else excited for Nivalis?

@hallow oracle oh now that's an old name
?
I remember thinking the sov maps were the coolest third-party thing a fan had ever done in any game, ever
BOB I mean
the sov maps https://sov.space/
OH GOD!
Khalid! I Hate you soo much!
Goonswarm? It was Goonsquad back when I played
you know this pipe bomb run Rooks and Kings were famous for?
my alliance once pulled this off against a Fraternity fleet
and we captured it on vid, felt very good lol
😄
THose maps are giving me bad memories. Our corp gave up fighting BOB and decided to go to the other side of the map but that alliance fell apart as well
every time there's a move op, that's what you are risking
@pale adder what was the alliance name 👀
Yup we could never get a foothold on 0.0 which is one of the reasons I gave up on EvE. It became way too elitist
Its been a long time, it wasn't a huge alliance like say Goonsquad was.
just had to go to a place that was bad enough that nobody wanted it lol
my alliance put down roots in Scalding Pass for a bit. It was.. quiet
Goonsquad was a Corporation
I think I left Eve right around the time Titans were released.
That also ran an alliance for a time
I was in it for a while after Titans were introduced. Looked to try building the parts for one but never could.
if you check out the sov map now, Goons are running the bit called "Imperium"
Yeah BOB
they're by far the largest coalition
BOB Died off and Goons took over
Still have a carrier on my main, but thats as far as it got.
The fact that BOB failed brought a smile to my face
I used to hunt them in and out of Khalid in my Rifter then my Assault version
I tried playing eve for like an hour and just got really bored lol, the universe is cool but the combat made me fall asleep
Played albion for quite a bit though
I used to Live and work in London at the time and I rented but couldn't get a good sleep because I was never in my own bed. SO I stayed up playing Eve. I regularly fell asleep mining in a Battleship and woke up to find myself floating in a pod
The managing aspect drove me away. I spent more time docked going over spreadsheets, working out diplomacy, managing people. then out flying around. Became a second job, one day I relazed this and that games should be relaxing and enjoyable. Left and never came back.
I had a friend who was really into spreadsheats. He had one for everything in Eve
our alliance leader was a maths teacher. He... had predispositions to enjoy this
We had a good deal of miners so you know how that goes. lol
I enjoyed gate ganking and pod kills earlier on.
I did a bit of everything in Eve I ran a Corp, was ina n alliance committee for a while, Mined built did planetary stuff, scouting , the list goes on.
T2 Mining was relaxing as long as you had the cover for 0.0.
oh yeah whaling miners was fun
It was boring but doing it solo was fun
No ISK with out Risk...
putting the fun back in funeral!
lol
I remember the first time I got popped, was in a Naval Raven thought I was billy bad ass until I got jumped in .2
there was always a counter to any ship
normally the smaller you are they easier it is to evade
Oh yeah, I was alot more of a green pilot then.
I remember stapping a Battleship Afterburner to my Rifter and flying at 3 AU
But, Eve is also the reason I never played WoW or Evercrack.
As far as what @untold lynx mentioned about printing cool stuff. Going to be printing this here in the next few days after the current print job.
Plan to put some LED's in it. Probably put it next to my Borg cube when I get it out of storage.
Its the Zariman from Warframe.
You should look at some Star Citizen ships to print. Some of the alien ones are nice looking
Haven't played that game yet, although I have been meaning to.
Thought about doing some Stargate ships.
Although the Earth ships aren't all that impressive, the Ancient ones are.
There is a Free fly event at the moment you don't need to buy the game to play it but don't know when it will end
I think that one ends on the 30th? Maybe wrong.
should be for the length of the IAE showcase.
yeah you can try them out but unless your in the game on the day they have them for rent you won't get a chance otherwise
Thats an interesting ship.
Yeah I have flown it it really is a great little ship and it's up as a starter ship so it's cheap as chips for Star Citizen right now
your spending close to $70 for the ship and the game. The thing is you can't buy it in game with in game cash like a lot of the ships which is where Chris Roberts Nickel and Dimes you.
I made 500 mills ratting in high sec pockets in low sec space, running missions with the most broken builds you've ever seen
just absolute trash fires of a ship, because of limited skill points and absolutely no idea how I should fit them
It was a skill to get a decent DPS ship that didn't drain it's power in seconds then they introduced the ships that drained power 😦
I was playing Amarr, so of course my ship drained its capacitor in seconds
biiiig lasers
oh wait I need to repair or imma blow up
pulses medium armor repair twice
clenches
ekes out another half mill
I loved flying Amarr ships it was the one ship type that I could easily use
and then I found out about AFK drone ratting
Amarr BS = Poor mans mining rig. 😂
Did they nerf it or just due to cost?
they just uuh reworked the whole thing I think?
I know they redid implants. Use to be able to learn even offline.
you can still, thank god
but you don't have, like, learner implants
to learn learning skills
Hmm, I wonder what they did with those people that had them
didn't they remove the learning skills as well. I knew the implans went and you can only slot in so many skills into the learning queue as well
I left my character with Learning Implants in they would just delete them
I forgot what happened to the implants. I had a toon from... well from a decade earlier in the game, maybe 2009? Their skill points were free to reallocate basically
I would never go back to Eve-Online to find out. I don't think I can either I played it nonstop for 10 years and on and off skill training for 3 I think at the time I stopped completely I would have been one of the highest skill point characters.
think there was a point after I stopped that they just deleted old characters.
yeah I think it's one of these games where it's hard to just sort of dip your toes
either you don't play it, or you set up an alarm for 4am because your bros from around the world need help with a timer
Lol just got an email in about EVE vanguard. Don't think I'll be taking part any more
Two years after the game was originally revealed, Nightingale is shaping up to be one of the more promising new Survival Crafting Games coming in 2024. I really like what we've seen, keeping my fingers crossed for this one.
#Nightingale #gameplay #survival
Yeah, Eve always felt like a game that you're either 100% invested in, or it's not really worth engaging with. I remember getting to a T2 cruiser and being super jazzed, had all my drones and stuff. Then I went through a gate and died instantly to a gate camp, and never looked at the game again.
Empyrion - Space survival game, totally recommend it, much more fun with a friend or three, you crash land in a planet and have to survive, thrive and eventually build a spaceship to explore other planets to collect different resources to make yourself a more powerful ship, hopping from planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy you'll eventually be able to warp all over the place, There is PvP with AI and also other players depending in your choice of server, you get to build all your own vehicles, bases and ships, so much to explore, tons of fun, I have many 100s of hours invested in this game, it's on steam also, people compare it to No Mans Sky, I personally have never played that as I am happy with Empyrion. The pic is one of my resource vehicles I built.
Steam Autumn sale has begun
Oh man I haven't taken a look at Empyrion since before they hit their 1.0 release. I always felt like the building was kind of clunky, has it been streamlined at all? I liked the breadth of options they provided, but the actual putting together of pieces was often kind of janky.
I checked it out a couple years ago and it just kinda felt like a beta for No Mans Sky
Though these days I find myself doing that with any space survival: "What does this do that NMS doesn't?"
I mean... it lets you build your ships from scratch, which I really like
If NMS had a "garage" system where you deconstructed your ships and were able to reassemble them from component parts, that would be incredible.
The problem with no man’s sky in my opinion is how little there really is to do in it, outside of exploring which gets boring as all the planets are pretty much the same, you can build bases and freighters which once you’ve done once air twice is very samey
It needs some sort of goal I think
It's gotten a LOT better about that over the last few years. But yeah, I usually quit NMS because it starts to feel samey
I go back to NMS for the Expeditions usually, though the last one had me feeling meh.
I chalk it up to the procedural generation problem. There are "infinite worlds" but they all end feeling basically the same because they way you engage with them is the same every time. Even with additional content types like bases, settlements, anomaly worlds, freighters, those things are a single game system that is repeated ad infinitum so after you do them once or twice, it's basically uninteresting to engage with the system again.
Yeah, that's always the issue with procedural. Once you've seen what all the lego blocks look like, it becomes less impressive to see the different ways the system can whack them together
Yeah, Starfield is a GREAT example of this. Game devs don't seem to realize that to make procedural generation actually good, you have to have enough content within the engine that it takes forever for the player to experience repeat content.
And, for the amount of content you have to create to feed into the proc-gen algorithm, you could probably build a bespoke map that is smaller but better.
I will say NMS has done well about fleshing out the stations, the anomaly, adding pets and expanding building, and the systems to make things feel fleshed out but I understand the argument that it can feel samey
Yeah, hand crafted maps are definitely an art. FromSoft is a great example of that
Well, with NMS as an example, I think the content they've added has been really good, but ultimately it just extends the "timer" until you get bored. I think my latest playthrough a couple months ago, I got a good 80-100 hours in before I ended up getting bored, which is much better than on initial release.
Yeah, the Elden Ring map is a masterclass in level design.
What's wild is I've seen a couple people in this server being worried that because Enshrouded has a handcrafted map, not procedural, it won't have much replayability and will get boring quickly and I just shake my head
Check out the latest Path of Exile 2 showcasing the many classes you can play in the latest iteration including the Monk, Huntress, Sorcerer, Druid and more. Learn more about the upcoming game!

I just can't get into Starfield. I liked Fallout and Skyrim because of their focus on exploration and hidden sites within a single, cohesive map. Stumbling on a cave to delve into and find out what's inside was fun and the towns felt populated enough to be respites without being overwhelming. There's too many people in the cities in Starfield for my tastes, and I know that may just me being a strong introvert but that's how I feel. Add on top of that the loading screens to change planets and the like, it just breaks up the gameplay too much for me and loses me quick.
See what I've always wanted was the power of NMS's procedural generation algorithm, but instead of generating a whole universe, it generates 1 planet. And the power of the generation goes into continents and terrain and biomes and creates an amazing planet to explore on foot or ground vehicles/mounts.
Personally I love Urbex and exploring old, ruined buildings and scavenging, so Fallout's world was great for me, but I'd also love a Fantasy World that lets me explore different dungeons with different challenges to collect stuff. Maybe procedurally generated, but the issue is how to keep those dungeons from being stale and keep them challenging and interesting over time.
I think procedural generation is a really great way to start something. Like that amazing planet would be good, but by itself it's still going to end up being boring. On top of the initial generation you then have the playground to build your game. Like adding castles/ruins/civilizations on top of the procedural algorithm is what would make it a good sandbox for a good game. You can build dungeons and things and all that after the procedural generation has given you the base world to play with.
So you have the mix of hand crafted content on top of a world that is generated in a cool way.
Agreed, I think procedural would work best in a limited sense. Use it to generate terrain, clouds, hills etc, but it doesn't work as a wholesale creation method unless you're doing a roguelite or something
Yeah exactly.
I mean, I loved the derelict Freighters in NMS... or at least the first 20 or 30 I did. Then they got very samey.
The challenge is striking that balance of limited assets and building fresh, interesting content.
Sure, no different than finding your first big chasm in Minecraft. By the time you hit your 30th it's not novel or exciting
Yep, exactly. Sometimes you can hit a cool generation still, but it's rarer and rarer the more you play the same game. Each time I've gone back to Minecraft, the journey is a little bit shorter because the world is a bit less exciting.
Actually Josh Strife Hayes has a good video talking about this same point, let me see if I can remember it/dig it up

Tell them to all to look at Ark. It has the same map and people still play it XD
Well, yeah. It's like the 100th time you've ridden the same roller coaster isn't as good as the first time you rode it.
Bleh. I don't like ARK.
I wish Ark had stuck to the "primitive man vs wild" aspect instead of the dino taming and the tek stuff.
I never really got into ark for many reasons... one was definitely taming
The amount of time on a regular server to tame something was zzzzZzzzZzz
I still enjoy it as is, but that's mostly because my love of dinosaurs is stronger than my dislike of their systems 😝
I didn't care for the progression or the way recipes unlock. I much prefer the "I find a new material and it unlocks these recipes" method.
Oh yeah, I don't play on regular servers any more. It takes waaaaay to long to tame things. Plus the people on official servers are absolute goobers
I've never even played it, it always just looked too jank for me. Same reason I never played Rust and couldn't get into Conan
I played Conan only because the combat kind of saves it a little.
I tried Conan during a free weekend and holy hell, the game is that jank and they want $30 to ride a horse? Pass
Survival games and jank. Can't name a better combo Xd
Also their UI gave me diarrhea
I opened my inventory and immediately had to sit on the toilet for 45 minutes
haha
So to try and tied myself over a bit.. found a few games.. couple demos
“Aloft” and then “ifsunsets” anyone try?
Then bought “Frozen Flame “ it looks good..
I tried Frozen Flame during the demo period, I'm giving that one a year or two in the oven before I look into it again
It feels like they have a decent idea but the optimization wasn't great and the crafting system was very basic. Maybe that's changed since but it felt very, very early
I'm tiding myself over with SotF, Valheim, and I picked up the original Lost Planet because it was on sale for like $3.74
Haven't played that game in years but I remember having fun with it
Same , tried a demo a few years ago.. but was to addicted to valheim. Hoping this grabs my attention.
Oh it's improved so much over the years, it's not janky or clumsy anymore, they did a huge update on the building aspect, how all the mechanics work and go together etc, I'll be honest and say it isn't flawless or as polished as some newer games but it's still absolutely worth playing in my opinion.
So last time I played frozen flame was back in June 2022 … now seams like an entirely new game! So much is changed enjoying it so far

After playing survival craftemups for years it feels so good to finally see realized games with stories and purpose outside of "Just build big house".
100% agree.. MoE just sucked me into the craft progression . Other then that didn’t care for game play combat was horrible and Everything was way overpowered
Someday we'll get WoW except with crafting. Enshrouded and Conan Exiles feel closer to that experience than anything else so far. Dark and Light had potential but was just a horrible horrible Ark knock off lol.
RIP Dark and Light, such a good idea, such a bad execution
I definitely feel like survival games too often try to copy the successes of other games rather than finding their own niche and actually adapting mechanics to suit a different style of play
Yeah, but by the same token that's how any art form evolves (I consider game design an art). Person comes up with a good idea, 50 people copy it, out of those 50 one adds a spin that takes it somewhere new, repeat
It took a lot of people copying Minecraft to get games like Sons of the Forest, Valheim, and eventually Enshrouded
Just like it took hundreds of people copying old blues riffs before we got the first rock song
Yeah totally. Games have evolved so much over the last like 10 years it's kind of insane actually
If we showed today's games to me when I was a kid, my head would explode. We were playing MUDs and stuff.
The evolution has been a wild ride. I grew up playing my brother's hand-me-down Colecovision and NES, and my first PC was an 8088. Internet was just BBS connections. Going from those to now it's really been an incredible journey and the best part is I'm still on it xD
I don't even remember what my first PC was called, but it was one of the ooooold ones, where we were playing games like Mathblaster and Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego
I think it may have been an Apple II? I was pretty young at the time, heh
Sounds like it could be an Apple II or a 286/386, depending on if it was IBM or, well, Apple
Oooh my first PC non Amiga was an IBM XT my dad's friend was throwing away in the early 90s.
There's something cool about those old full page PC ads crammed with marketing text
What a cuwwte but soon dead boooy.
Do I grind too much on my HC-Character? Theres nothing cheated, just 0 deaths
Thats a lot of 100s
Now that I'm again playing on him, my... I'm crazy.
Based on my experience playing HC hard mode? No. You just naturally end up with super high skills because you never die
This makes me miss my old plains base. Maybe I'll load up and grab some screens
The base was built on top of a small-ish mountain in the plains and the farm area was built into the side of the mountain
Somehow I make this Discord feel alot more vikingish. I'll stop.
One last: I'm hunting now gween wabbits.
Beautiful. I love it.

of course you were playing in the mud!! you're so old!
Hey guys, I'm looking for recommendations for a space sim game, not sure if you guys play many of those but I don't know where to ask. I already asked on a few subreddits but since I'm looking for a specific kind of experience it's getting hard to find what I'm looking for
I'm looking for a game that allows you to set your ship on auto-pilot to a destination and be able to leave the helm and walk around your spacecraft
I'm unsure of anything that really fits that
Right? It's just a very small detail but it's quite difficult to find.
So far I've only found: Star Citizen, Star Explorers, the Starship Simulator demo, and Pulsar Lost Colony. Sadly none of those feel complete enough to scratch that itch for me
walk around your ship is the hardest requirement here
yea, because there're a lot of starship simulators out there but once you're flying you can't get up from the chair
there is a Star Wars VR thing where for a brief moment at the beginning you're in a YT-1300 type of transport and can actually walk around and interact with things
it's pretty great!
the rest of the game doesn't live up to that standard imo
the Darth Vader one?
I think so? I remember it was free
I loved being in a ship, or on a ship
I wasn't very much into anything else the game had to offer
I remember that one on Oculus
Of course, the only real reason to own an Oculus is Super Hot VR xD
you misspelled Beat Saber but that's a common mistake
Beat Saber too, but BS gets fatiguing quickly. Great for a 20 min workout
I try to go a little longer but yea it's nice for a workout
I mean, when it still had the new game smell I could go on BS for an hour but these days 20 minutes and I'm about good
Super Hot I can still pick up for an hour+ at a time since it kind of moves at your pace
Plus it's like a puzzle game where you can solve the puzzle by throwing hammers and shooting things in the face xD
Whatchu saying?!?
Damn. Today I'm really often going for the wabbit holes.
Reinforcements have arrived! Prepare to face our wrath, mortal!!

DD2 is March 22nd.
So Steam is Early by a day.
Depending on your time zone, I suppose.
I feel like Capcom is the last and only OG triple A who hasn't had a massive fall from grace or controversy. I mean yeah, a couple times they had some questionable MTs (looking at you, Street Fighter 5) but they've been downright tame compared to their contemporaries
FromSoftware is another one that fits bill.
True, though I wouldn't put From on the same AAA level as a Capcom, Konami, Nintendo, EA, THQ, Ubi, etc
Just in terms of company size and overall production. Nothing to do with quality or anything
Have to say, nowadays I feel that Nintendo makes games waaay too short.
TotK and Metroid Dread were pretty meaty
On the surface, yes. Can only speak for TotK, but there I got burnt out from that shield guy, Koroks or these kind of things. I thought they just add bloat, that would've been better in terms of an story, or... Dunno. Pushing more into the temple theme. I'm noway against Tears approach of an story, but somehow I felt older games had just... more to it? Mario Odyssey for example I count as an massive example for Gameplay bloat. Just to get a moon for doing a groundpound here and there isn't really catching me and it's the, if not the Mario game actually that had me never ever again interested to come back. I love a bit of puzzling, but here are the moons just handled over to you in a massive overflow. The same feels for Shrines in TotK...
I would just wish the Yoshis Island series would meaningful continue, I love the first & DS game. Everything coming after that was in my feeling... not really hitting the nail what made the predeccors that much of classics.
Or Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze / Country Returns as new 2D Formula.
Capcom still this day have super questionable MTs
TMNT for SF6 is awful
Yeah, IDK what it is with them and trying to milk SF. At least it wasn't gameplay altering though
Exoprimal is also bad haha
I haven't heard too much about Exo. Like, in general, good or bad
I'm a big fan of Capcom tho
Same, though they've had me hooked for years with Monster Hunter
I'm patiently waiting for World 2
MHW2 will hopefully be awesome
I didn't even realize world was Capcom biggest game
I hope at some point they go for crossplay with consoles. I feel like that's the next big step, I was really disappointed when Rise didn't get it with Switch
21 million copies sold
Yeah, it was a BIG deal for MH fans when it was capcom's best ever selling title. Very vindicating for those of us who have played since the early days.
Yeah, after years of people begging and Capcom digging their heels in and saying MH would never be on PC, they finally do it and it makes them like, all the money
Yeah seriously
I do. Wirebugs are so good xD
As a hunting horn main I just felt like World was much better
I hate wire bugs lmao
I'm with you Ticonz. Also a HH main
As a GS main, wirebugs make up for my misses xD And yeah, HH felt like it took a step backwards in Rise
Also not a fan of buffing by finding the birds everywhere. I'd rather go back to meals and Armor/Demon items
I get what they're going for, they want faster battles with less prep, but the prep is part of what makes it rewarding IMHO
Oof. RIP
I was planning on upgrading but still Xd
But now I'll be even more ready for new games \o/
I upgraded a couple months ago for a similar reason. My video card finally crapped out and I wasn't getting display. Instead of spending money on a new/old video card I just waited and replaced my whole system
In hindsight, so worth
Nice!
I have a 3080 but my cpu was getting old ( 3900x )
I grabbed a 7800x3d and 64 gigs of ram haha
Nice
I just had a realization.
If I got my last 62 rating in WoW, I'll be done...
That means there's nothing left to (really) do until Enshrouded releases.
Get everything to 100 on Valheim
Then I'll miss out on the Enshrouded release.
So to say, the real release. Not Early Access.
There is one thing I really have to praise about Nintendo's latest 2D Mario. They really nailed Bowser's musical number during his boss fight.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCOe7ShrFbE
That goes really hard. 🤘
No one made a complete medley version of the final boss music with all the crew and the platforms sound effects, so I did it myself. I hope you'll like it.

It looks like an xbox 360 controller
Almost, but it doesn't have offset analogs. Actually that's why I prefer XB to PS, can't get behind the analogs being on the same plane
Actual 360 controller for comparison:
Theres something about the D Pad being below instead of above that just feels .. "right"
Alright, that's hot. I'll get used to the analogs xD
I'm installing GRID Autosport now. 😁
Highly recommend a mouse update though xD

I can't even imagine gaming without my G604 xD
Free keeb and mouse is good enough for me. 😂
All buttons are programmable except the ones behind the wheel, and wheel left tap and right tap are programmable too
Too much for me. Lol
It sounds like it at first, but srsly, being able to do your 1-6 with your thumb is so clutch
Plus I usually have the front index (the one marked +) as push-to-talk
My hands ain't getting any younger.. lol
It's so much more natural than taking your hand away from the movement keys to do 1-6

it says "horror" in the name, so it's probably too scary for me
Zombie Pirates spawn at night
It's a survival game that has just popped up on all the feeds
Demo out now with release in Q1 24
So another game going for Enshrouded's attention
That's what I thought it was as well
Character creation is a bit basic maybe it will improve for release
it can be what ever you wish
I honestly don't think Enshrouded has anything to worry about from If Sun Sets
why not?
"Zombie Survival" is usually an EA red flag
it sure is pretty
Game play is slow and laboured, half the menus are in Japanese, I know it's not finished but it really feels unfinished and I'm only on day 3 so far. Combat is bad.
uff
well when I say half the menus are in Japanese, You read what has been converted via Google translator and then you see the odd pop up in Japanese and you know they haven't spent any time on that. Plus animal dung is called Poops
hahahaha
to be honest bad loca is easily fixable, you just... have to actually do it
a boring gameplay loop? That's much harder
Well I hope they do that for launch but I know they will miss something somewhere and you will just sigh when you see it.
worries in game translated in 11 languages
The game play loop is to survive and leave the island. To do that collect, craft and build every night there is a zombie horde you collect gems from to offer to an alter to avoid a zombie horde the next night however you can make healing potions with the same gems so it's up to you to avoid a massive onslaught of zombies or make potions
I can't remember where I have seen this gameplay before but I know I have seen it.
And the demo ends on day 4
