Chance, the survivor. I have a service dog (900 hours of training, worth 80,000$) that killed Chance's (above) brother over food a week ago today... Olive is my service dogs name. She is my second one. My first one was black lab, she is lab and pitbull mix. She has been loved and trained better than most dogs people will meet in their entire lives. So when you hear how it is "all how you raise a pitbull" or that its "just about love with a pitbull", that is not true. Don't ever feed dogs with other animals (cats are fine, they are smart and understand dogs).

my family's first dog (and my nanny dog) was a huge Black Labrador retriever named Gabby, she was about 140lbs at her largest and she stood around 1m tall at the back/shoulder, one time when my parents were walking her in a park someone thought my parents were walking a bear, but gabby was the sweetest dog i have ever met (no offense to our other dogs), she lived to be 14 years old (my mom works at an animal hospital), when she could no longer use the stairs we camped out on the middle level of our house to sleep with her and keep her comfortable.

The breed was created to hunt bears and wolves. So they are super protective however super goofy and fun loving . So They make me laugh and make me feel safe. Though he's spoiled he'll have tantrumns. If he gets hungry he'll bring me his food bowl. If i ignore him long enough he'll check the bowl at me LOL. He also throws a tantrum at bed time so someone cuddle him. He's a Boweimar which is bred with a purebred Boxer and and a Pure Bred Weimaraner .

I talked my mom into letting me keep a kitten if 1 was black, my mom reluctantly agree because she thought a black cat from a pure white cat was unlikely. 3rd kitten popped out was pure black, my mom wasn't happy that I insisted she keep her promise on letting me keep it. That kitten turned out to be an absolute terror on nature and wildlife in the area with and would average 3-4 kills a day, leaving the animal heads on the porch and inside the garage, sometimes even killing full grown rabbits. Mother nature breathed a sigh of relief the day my step mom started keeping the cat indoors.๐คฃ

Unless I lived out in the countryside, like on a farm, I don't think I could have outdoor cats. I'd be worried about them getting into fights, get run over, someone hurting them... Not to mention the impact cats can have on the wildlife, like you said.
Jester loves being outside though so I'm glad she took to being on a leash so well!

Yesssss, they can eat bugs that are about 1.5x their size. She hunts it, pounces on it, and drags it up high (I have no idea why she doesn't just eat it where she catches it). It's pretty awesome to watch.

Goldens are sweethearts, very happy and derpy. She's the first purebred dog I've ever had, normally I always rescue mutts from shelters, but when I used to work in veterinary medicine her previous owner was no longer able to take care of her, so that's how she ended up with me. It does seem like everything wants to kill people in Australia and has the capability of doing so, from them having an extremely high proportion of the most venomous snakes in the world, to the bigger kangaroos, saltwater and freshwater crocodiles, great white sharks, badass spiders, giant pythons, even the male duck billed Platypus has 2 venomous spines that can be lethal to people. Koalas would probably kill you if they could do so, but very unlikely unless it's a 1 in a million with rabies.
