I've found I get different windows in different walls, but the walls are all stone. @uneven tapir@heavy carbon If you build in a square the opposite windows will be different ones. Only solution i found so far would be to go from a square (e.g. 10x10) to 10x11 for example. But that messes up everything else...They should make 2 templates for different window-holes and let use choose which one we like more.
But as it is right now, i nearly lost fun in building for now, as im a bit exhausted...tried fixing this for 7 hours now and have basically rebuilt everything without being able to fix anything at all...

Yesterday my server encountered an insane boss that is possibly bugged. Dozens (possibly hundreds?) of wolves being summoned from nowhere kept pouring out. Hi, ok this is going way back to Landmark (voxel game from years ago) but deformation is a voxel characteristic more than a template bug thing. (Though a different shaped window template may have less deformation.) To see use different materials using single block construction to make a test wall with a window and put a window frame in. The deformation will be different with different build materials. The interesting thing with voxels is that you can get some really interesting effects by manipulating the deformation characteristics of a voxel block. That being said it was suggested that the game might have some different shaped single blocks to help control that window frame deformation a bit better. I don't know if its on the suggestion list yet though as it's new and this suggestion was earlier.

It depends on which row you build the walls on the ground. If the windows are square, try building the walls a row further forward or back. then they are round. Otherwise you unfortunately cannot influence it.

You cannot force the little arches. They appear on every other grid of a building (or in every other grid in the world, not sure) That means you need to shift everything like 1 grid over if you want the arches to appear.

Cuz That is a way of forcing the arches on all sides of the building.

Thr guy in the video also had the same issue. Build I'm doing is this person's build in that video.

yeah if your building is an even number of spaces from one corner to the next, one side will generate the arches and the other won't. If its an odd number of spaces from one corner to the next both sides will generate the arches. I only did basic testing, so there may be some nuance in how its implemented, but as it is right now, alot of buildings are gonna end up looking uneven. my current theory is that the world is basically divide into a checker box pattern of spaces that generate arches and ones that don't. Again, I don't know if this is implemented at the world level or individual buildings level, I've only done basic testing.

It's not so much the grid as it is due to procedural geometry generation when connecting blocks. Very similar to the way Substance Painter/Substance Designer generates procedural textures based on edges, corners, etc. It's used a lot in 3D to quickly generate repeating patterns, etc.

When you can't be bothered to build scaffolds so you just build random floatinng platforms to reach the areas you need

With a bit of patience everything is possible to get even if it is bugged. I had problems with flame altars at bottom right part of the map. It couldn't tick for me even tho I was there many times. But waiting for spark popup to disappear or digging or jumping around fixed the issue.

There's gaps that both heals the shroud and inflicts it that causes a loop of gaining and decreasing shroud timer. I've also noticed that Shroud Roots that has been removed that has infected water (the red lava looking things) could no longer kill you because the shroud has been removed.

So i think i found a secret guys, a sword in the rubble with a gravestone with runes on. I do now know what the runes say. My guess as to what it is about is about someones dead one, like a memorial for a game dev. If anyone figures it out pls tag me or upload it to youtube. Im kinda curious as to what it says.

you can change the terrain type by isolating the ground from your floor and put a block of dirt on the floor and you juste extand it with your terrain tool

My Renovation project.

||Glider, Updraft skill and double jump skill. After a double jump you are just long enough in the air to use the updraft aswell, which brings you higher then you was before. With this, i glided from every small elevated position i could to the next higher up.

Warning: its clear that the game didnt intend the players to go to that point. I just love to check the limits of things in games.

Asking here because I never get responses to questions in the game-chat channel: can anyone confirm if sneak attack and backstab apply to ranged attacks, such as with a bow? The descriptor indicates the attack is initiated by sneaking up and pressing “E” behind the target, which makes me doubt if the damage would be applied if not in melee range.

No way a lvl 2 is going to be able to get there and be able to do anything if they can. Only way possible would be to join a server where someone has a alter placed there. You need a level 6 flame alter so Endgame.

Im not a big fan of the refined stone block. To many of the joints in the large blocks are not staggered and it just bugs me i guess lol.

I made a 6m tall by 12m wide section of wall and there are 14 instances of no stagger. (2 of those being 4 high) 14 would not be too bad except that's almost 80% of the joints

yep. 25 is endlevel for all weapons. Except Shroud Weaver Staff. You find your staff for example by killing the area boss at Low Tide (bottom right corner of the map) (he is lvl 30) (you need flame level 6) [god i hate this 10min slowdown in this chat xd]
