I will say, logging off doesn't affect timers at all
the point of 600 meters and half an hour is mostly a cache thing, if the game isn't loaded that timer isn't ticking
I think terrain outside of your flame altar just... does happen to reset if you log out/close a server temporarily

Errr easy? 😄 The majority comes down to whether the game is built towards controller or KB+M. Games like MH for example are specifically for controller and are horrible on KB+M imo. Enshrouded? Smooth as butter. Valheim? No problem.

I also find keyboard hard for Enshrouded, you've gotta piano slide the left side of the keyboard, tab to lock on, then slide to shift, and ctrl etc. Coming from a controller, it's work.
I haven't tried building with it yet though. I am hoping it's easier than controller. I don't know how it could be improved on controller due to the amount of possible actions when building, but it's also a lot of effort to navigate to the things you want.

Oh I love Outer Wilds. It's a wonderful mystery exploration game. But do not spoil yourself on anything; the joy is in the discovery. You can really only play it once, because your progress in the game is only limited by your knowledge of how to progress (which the game teaches you as you play). Once you know how to reach the ending, you can go straight for the ending on a new save.

The only thing I'll spoil is that the jetpack and ship controls are a little different from normal game controls. They're acceleration based, so if you tap forward, you'll start moving forward and not stop moving forward until you tap backwards. And if you hold forward until you reach your destination, you're going to slam into it at high speed, not stop when you stop holding forward. The walking controls are normal, though.

I have the added benefit of being completely aphantasic. I don't know what the term for it is, but I cannot see, hear, taste, smell, or feel anything that is not physically present. I can't conjure ANY sensations with my mind. So, I have observed over the decades that my conscious thought process activates my speech center in my brain and I "whisper" my thoughts to myself. Well, sometimes I am unaware that my speech center has activated my mouth center. lol

When my beloved hubby first moved in, I noticed he whispered to himself a lot, usually while showering or in the restroom, and having grown up around very unbalanced people it made me nervous. I talked to him about it, checked in to make sure he's okay, cause he gets really emphatic, and finally I just asked him to explain it to me. He said he doesn't realize he's doing it, usually, and described it as "role playing in his head."
And when I asked him about the times it sounded like he was cussing at someone (cause I was worried he was being mean to himself), he said, "Oh no, I was imagining how [X] and [Y] characters would talk to each other if [Z] happened." Turns out he's just a goober and always doing plays in his head. XD

Is it possible to domesticate everything?
I’ve noticed that you can destroy everything, build things, and kill anything. But is it the same when it comes to animals? I really enjoy games that use animals as utility elements, like carrying heavy loads or transporting items to high places.
I’ll admit I’m also a big fan—I’ve definitely caught the exotic animal collecting fever.
That said, I’ve heard there are no mounts… my little heart hurts ;c, but it’s okay.
Anyway, thanks in advance if you have time to answer! I’m asking because I’m considering buying the game.

Yeah... I used to work for a medium sized engineering company when I was in college. One of the original founders was still CEO after decades! But eventually he retired.
