Alfred (Alfie) is 3, he's my dog. Albert (Bertie, El Berto, Sir Bert, The Bertith) he's 7, he is Alfred's uncle he's the family dog. They have a defect, a tuft of fur between their eyes. Bert was chosen because of that and he and Alfred were the only ones with that.

I think the devs somehow work with 3 different approaches:

1. Making the frame smaller than the actual hidden door, like 3 blocks width and 5 up
2. Alot of them always are in dark spots, so people don't notice it directly
3. they place the hidden door not on the grid but themselves and have it cover the frame

We're mostly human. We just fell into the Flame pot when we were young.
I also think those refill thingies were something along the lines of a regional spreaded religious thing.
Also, the ancients for sure studied the Shroud. Some of these night sanctuarys are very sus if you see there shrooms they cultivated everywhere.

The only difference between human and flameborn is, we're resistant to Shroud while humans would easily deplete "their" Shroud time because for them everything is "deadly Shroud".

maybe instead of progression you want to focus a little bit on farming materials so you can craft ample supply of the other spells and spec into a staff focus build (im no expert though, i just know my friend going mage has always used his wands as a secondary option and weve been farming mats for his spells most of the game)

Honestly I would change builds and go back to a mage build later in game, they pretty much broke mages early game with a "re-balancing"

I'd probably not say we broke mages as much as they were broken in a very specific way, and we perhaps took things a little far in the other direction

but yes, at your current level eternal spells are pretty much inaccessible, so you should rather attempt to craft what spells you can. Also remember that you don't have to wear a full set to get benefits from armor, as each piece gives different bonuses. So you could also wear a few heavy armor pieces to give yourself more durability

I mean honestly even before in some cases they were bad, at launch I did have a few times I had to re-spec to sword and shield as mages didn't do damage fast enough and were way too squishy, so what what near impossible with a mage was extremely easy with a warrior sword and shield build.

in my experience mages were pretty much able to nuke their way through anything with little to no drawbacks, which obviously posed a balancing issue, but more problematically, meant it felt awful to play in a group with mages, because by the time the warrior would get to the enemies, they'd have been dead for several seconds

ive found playing with my friend that a warrior+mage combo works best, so maybe the suggestion here should be invite a friend 😛

but we don't consider combat to be a "what you see is what you get" situation, we've recently recruited someone specifically to help us make combat better

I never found that at launch, maybe if you got lucky with RNG and got certain gear, at launch I was basically never getting mage weapon drops, and with the long cast time some enemies were extremely hard, like the scavengers with the green swords, even before the nerf those guys were a pain, warrior or ranger build though I find them to be pretty trivial.

personally, gameplay wise, i havent had an issue with the combat, its a little simple but that aint bad, however when i was streaming to show a friend the other day is when i suddenly noticed ive been playing this game for a 180 hours doing a 3 swing combo since the beginning and visually it might not be that impressive to watch

Then that's going to be the main cause of the problem. HDD's are proving to be too slow right now to load all the assets. They haven't vanished, they're just not loading. If you have it available, switching the game to an SSD should solve the issue for the most part.

The devs are aware of loading times in general and are trying to improve them for HDD's but they're fighting against physical limitations.

Double check it's an SSD and if it is, then yes. You can use steam to move the game rather than redownloading it as well.
