It happened to me when I bought a game in early access, and then deleted it, apparently due to a copyright dispute, then the developer issued a key for a new game from him with the same concept, so it was not a shame.

So there were precedents when the game was removed from Steam and early access remained forever, but more often the game is abandoned by the developers, Steam rarely removes major releases, even the recent scandal with games for adults affected very few games in fact.

Depends on how you fight, but generally the gems that involve blocking/aiming at a target fit really well. Since you're blocking anyhow it effectively turns blocking into another attack

I'm not a big fan of the prerequisite gems, ie; dodge and get buff or sprint and get buff, because those won't fit every situation. If it's working for you that's all that matters, but personally I prefer gems that amplify what I'm already doing rather than changing it

Focused light is pretty solid if you also use a fire weapon

And again it fits with a warrior style really well because in most fights you're blocking anyhow

Cold composure is another good one since it AOEs and also pairs with blocking

For the amount of time you have to aim to proc the gem, you're really only going to find it useful for your first shot. By the time you're ready for your next shot they're already closing in so you won't have time to just stand there aiming for upwards of 3 seconds, so it becomes a situational gem

Storm's Eye is decent for archers because it gives you a multi-enemy attack, moreso if you trigger it on multishot

Bleed is also not bad if you use poison arrows since it just adds more DoT

Mage is the one I've spent the least time with, mostly because bows appeal to me more. If I make a new character it'll probably be a mage so I can really experience that playstyle

Bow/dagger is fun. It starts out a little slow until you get some dex and perks under your belt but it gets pretty strong later game, especially if you get good at parrying with daggers

Nah, the nice thing about bow and dagger is it opens up your options. Not only by having both a ranged and a melee option, but also with the different arrow types. You get a ton of utility

Flare arrows, stun arrows, explosive arrows, you have a lot of ways to approach any given situation, and if none of those sound fun you can just run in slashing xD

Add in jump attack for AOE and maybe multishot, then buff your parry and add in overpower and maybe breach

Not to mention if you want to go the leech route battle heal pairs well with daggers

They attack so fast that it's not hard to proc a crit

Mix that with a leech dagger and 2x gemini rings for maximum results

Main thing I'll add is dex is always your priority. Get all the dex you can from the tree and pair that with at least one, if not two food types that also add dex. From there whatever skills you add become icing on the cake

Yeah community manager is a super vague title, and even within the industry people have trouble properly defining it lol

The general concept is that we're the bridge between the developers and the players. We handle public communication, announcements, patch notes, stuff like that, and we're also in charge of listening to and understanding what the players are saying, sorting through all that feedback and information, and presenting it to the development team to keep them informed on what's going on and what the players want from the game.

But beyond those broad concepts, the little things vary a lot from studio to studio and CM to CM. Like Cub said, here we have a lot of overlap with social media managers

That's the one thing I'm mildly worried about Enshrouded. I love this game and each update is absolute peak, but the current game map is a fraction of what they said it would be when it's released and we've only had like 2 biome updates since the past year so how much longer will it be until we make it to even the halfway park of the map completion?

Honestly I think this game is ambitious and yet they still manage to deliver consistently. I've never believed more in a development team with an Early Access title than I have with this game. That's another reason I really like it. The norm for EA is delays and indefinites, and broken promises. So when you have a case like this where they crush expectations then blow past them, you can't help but become enamored.

Regarding Valheim, it's a really great game as well and I'd love to see it finished, but I just don't understand why it takes them so long to push the content, particularly because its success saw an expansion of the studio and I imagine they could've made it a full-time gig if it wasn't already. Not to discredit the game or team, but it's not exactly the highest of graphical fidelity or programming needs, and the game doesn't have a crazy amount of content either. It's a lot of procedural generation too. I just don't really understand why it's taking them so long to get to 1.0

I wish most studios had a little more transparency surrounding their operations when it concerns an early access title

A lot of stuff does take years but comes out well… Satisfactory and Abiotic Factor. Heck I bought Rust in EA in 2013

Yeah. Once you spawn them in game they're just items

All of the twitch drops are available normally in game anyhow, the drops are just a way for the devs to help out community streamers and gives a shortcut to new items

If you do the quests, the game would just give you the items outright, it is not required to claim the rewards from twitch drops, although the twitch drop authentication can be rather twitchy, it may take several minutes of actually being in game before the twitch drops are now available to show up

Check that your steam and your twitch are linked. Sometimes they randomly unlink for some reason and it blocks out the drops

I was wondering what would be the best option ? Start a new game so that he can discover everything and me dropping my game where it is while trying not to spoil him. There, for me create a new character or keep mine and its advancement. Else ? What would you do, what do you think ? Thanks a lot !

For someone brand new to the game I'd advive a new world. You don't need to start over with a new character, you can use your current one and just equip armor and weapons that match the level of the area and aside from a few extra skills you'll both be on the same level

thanks for your answer. Indeed I was wondering if we were starting a new world while keeping my own character as it is would be the most preferable option (at least for me). I set aside all the experience scrolls I looted also for him, just in case. So you don't think grabing equipment would be too spoilish if the equipment stays on our current lvl during our progression right ? I think this could be fair, I just don't want him to be too spoiled and me too frustrated. I was also considering increasing the difficulty level to balance it a little more for me in this case

It really depends on the experience you want to have, but yeah having higher level gear will make the early game pretty trivial, and later when it does get more challenging it'll feel frustrating, IMO

Just watched them and i'd say they're okay if you're in the middle of a game/the details are fresh in the mind (From my perspective, i remember there being a sharks tooth, but it's been that long i'm buggered if i remember specifically where it is :D) - I would say though, i think it would have been a much better treasure hunt to have the riddles before the items were added to the game... people had all the locations before the riddles even came out 😄
