The dragon is pretty hard, I think people tend to have more luck relying on ranged weapons like bows than melee, but it's always pretty difficult

Rely on your glider to move/evade making use of the updrafts. If the ghost is too twitchy for the small area craft the next one down (extraordinary glider) so you have more control. Also try your best to parry the meteors so you don't lose ground when they land. Otherwise just prepare for a long haul, if you're solo it might be easier to pelt it with arrows than to stun it and hit it melee. It's a lot slower but you won't have the adds to deal with

So that said, pack a lot of arrows, and potions while you're at it, and load up on dex foods like strawberry milkshake and stir-fried veggies

the trick is to land on thr mountain around the arena and shoot it with stun arrows until it goes down, or right begore it goes down and as soon as it crashes just go to town on it eith a good melee weapon.

There are 10 Save Slots available for your game worlds.

Backups:

  • Each slot has 10 rotating copies numbered 0-9.

  • There is no distinct "primary" save—whichever file the -index file points to is loaded.

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

  • This must be done whilst the game is closed.
  • To share a save, copy the latest world save I.E (3ad85aea-7).
  • Dedicated servers only use Slot 1. Rename a save file to match Slot 1 if needed.
  • Files can be renamed to move them between slots.

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

  • Open the -index file in a text editor.
  • Find the line "latest": X (where X is a number from 0-9).
  • Change it to the desired backup index and save the file.

Additional Notes

  • The -info file contains metadata (like world name) but is not needed for servers.
  • Each player generates their own -info files when creating a world.
  • The latest world save files are what should be transferred.
    Ensure you copy all required files when sharing a save. For servers, only Slot 1 is used.

Also 2 other advices.

  1. Depending on spec, you really should spec in constitution etc. I find him now to be easier with a good HP pool, before that it seemed like he dealt % damage with his breath
  2. Dodgeroll whenever on fire, even multiple times can save your life

Theres an easy solution for the thing of obscured vision at the dragon.
Either remove Shroud or just have it below the platform or go full shroud.
Inside it the vision isn't as much obscured

The shroud root located in the northern part of the Kindlewastes on the west side just south of the sun temple and northern caravan camp. It was missing the access tunnel completely and I ended up having to use 16 bombs and half of my mining pick to get down to it and it was spawned into rock I even tried continuing to mine past where it was after I cut it down and it was just solid sandstone rock

it was bizarre and really the only issue I've had so far, just felt like a strange terrain glitch or something happened that removed the tunnel that is supposed to be there for it

I ended up looking up a video of someone clearing the kindlewastes just so I could try and figure out how to get down to it and the tunnel was just not there

It's a dome though, IIRC, and if you hit it at a great enough speed and your glider turns off before your footing has been established, i'd imagine it could be... quite painful, though. It's probably just really tricky.

howdy yall! new to the server (and honestly discord overall lol) I dunno if it's already posted anywhere, I can't find it if it is, but are there any plans to expand on some of the building tools in the future? Like for instance I'd love to be able to adjust the radius of the rake tool. Also there's some terrain type blocks that I would absolutely love to see made into a craftable, buildable block as well. The building in this game is absolutely top tier already as it is. I think the rake radial option alone would be MASSIVE.

we could have a button in the player's inventory that would automatically deposit all the things that the player has into different chests, for example: the player has 2 string, 4 stone, and 11 runes, they would click the button, then the runes would go into one chest along with other runes that were placed there before, same with the string, and stone.

No clue how you think you could add the ability to place a sign or name over chests and rename map markers on the fly with no UI interaction hooked into them.

Not yet at least lol it’s being studied, taken apart, etc by the mod com the game already has. It’s only a matter of time 😎

By time that happens, we’ll probably already have some awesome official mod support though if they do end up implementing it

Though the game is almost a year and a half old, I'd think we'd have more significant mods by now if they were reasonably doable. As is we still only have shaders, cheat engines and a couple smaller mods that usually wind up borking the game like the one for increased stack size

Look at what happens every time there is an update in Valheim. Every single mod breaks. EVERY one. The only reason mods are happening so much there is because it was done on the Unreal engine so already had mod support built in. This is a from scratch engine, there's no built in support and they will have to build it after they are done.

Their idle behaviors and roaming are a WIP. There should be a small hotfix coming on in the next few days or so that should help though.
