I would honestly like the ability in the end to 'heal' the world entirely. Like... make that the end goal, even if it's post-1.0. yes, the game is called 'Enshrouded', but imagine a questline that has you permanently hunting down the sources of the shroud so it can't return. Make it a clear point in the game where you're told "Hey, you do this, the world will change, you won't be able to go back to it." And then make that one of the creative mode options, a world clear of shroud.

In a competitive sense, it'd be an 'exploit' but enshrouded is as far from competitive as you can get and it's the way the world is built so calling it an exploit or cheating is the reason people get so upset about others wanting to 'take it away' from them.

personally im FOR the resetting mechanic. its definitely an inteded part of enshrouded. but they could just reset the world based on irl time (pc internal clock) and call it a day IF they wanted to fix it. so your worlds only resets every 30 min.

so then you would need to change your pc clock if you wanted to "exploit" the game which is external from enshrouded -> not their responsibility to fix

thats a misunderstanding of what and why that mechanic exists. the world resetting is to save on system resources. People already struggle to run this game in normal circumstances, imagine if they had to keep all the changes made to their world loaded in memeory until an arbitrary time

Then you run into the oposite issue. If you're too close to something a boss for example, you'd then be waiting an hour for it to respawn instead of 30 minutes. It's swings and round abouts. The way it currently it, gives people the most flexible choice. If they want to reset, they can, if they don't then they don't have to (The normal worlds DO reset every 30 minutes if you're not in the area.) The issue mostly comes down to people wanting others to play games in the way they see fit rather than letting simple players play their single player.

It's really easy to learn/understand cause everything is just multiples of 10. The hard part is converting it to imperial measurements

1 liter of water volume = 1 kg of weight

If you want to convert things, you move a decimal place

Not all stack sizes will be based on real world logic. Wood is probably larger because you generally have to go out and collect it which means you are away from your base and chests. It also takes several wood to make a plank, or other items, so you would need more on hand.

If it helps, you can think of a single plank as it's displayed in the picture/icon - as a stack of planks.

It's very unclear what it might end up be, but there will not be any content that needs a specific amount of players or similar
Also, it could be either: Enemys storm your base or you provoke them to storm your base ooor you raid a specific "island village".

That people expect here massive multiplayer interactions at times - and no, it won't end up like that. Think about Islands raids (They're called such) as the more survival traditional raids (Valheim) or that you raid something like a village (Fuling Villages in Valheim come here to mind).

I get the idea to visit other places for loot and stuff etc. but the entire thing would not only break quests etc. it'd break the game.

Every change that has been made would need to be saved, every enemy killed, every chest looted etc. would need to get saved/stored.
The safe file (which is already quite big) would explode and render the game fast "unplayable" / not being able to boot or start even anymore.
