I really wish that I could fully repair Balefire Stronghold "Iron Heart"... the enshrouded on the sides is ever so slightly prohibitive for rehabbing. It ALMOST lets me fix/cover the sections that are eroded away... but no dice fully. Alas. The tower now just has a giant three story gap lol

I think it's one of my new fave pre-built buildings in the game though. Lots of fun little details and hidden nooks to explore. And awesome location (assumedly for future map expansion)

It would be interesting to see some sort of ability to at least partially clear some enshrouded through some magical means - i think at least from villages and such. Maybe a special Flame item that provides a radius of clear space. Just musing.

Well, I found a cave the other day that's not on the wiki. The cave is still there, but the map marker is gone now. The game did some quick download at startup so I thought maybe they remove it since there's not really a path to it. I just sorta fell into it.

Otherwise I suggest you just put altars around the map to get to places that flying from a spire won't get you to where you want.

My base is above the pillars, and another on top of the mountain in Albaneve Summits and I can get to pretty much anywhere.

There are lots of great options for base locations - I think a lot of it depends on what you’re after. Resources? A certain biome or aesthetic? Proximity to dungeons? Proximity to potential new future zones?

Building a floating island base in the sky can give you a Birds Eye view of the land and make flying places easy as travel can be tedious 😊

If you're so worried, create a new world, make a box, place item in box and then grab it yourself. No need for other people.

But it shouldn't mess up the progression, it's only world quests per world and so those quests won't pass to the current world.

I remember having an altar that covered a bit of Ft Kelvin and they did a major overhaul - everything in the altar zone was old fort and outside new - caused some interesting visuals of half buildings lol

I started to play this game about a month ago. At first glance I thought that building system is kind strange and lack of details. Then I figured out that I can turn on some settings which emproves voxels and It was a game changer for me. Sad that my PC can't handle the power of visuals right now.
But the way they implemented the voxel part is so cool. I've never seen such a thing

I started to play on low settings because of my pc. There is an option to improve voxel details. If you change this option somewhat higher than lower - the game visuals changes drastically in terms of structures. Just wanted to set my 5 cents that the game is actually looks very good (because on low settings it looks like minecraft 😀)

Yes it has gotten better, on my deck it runs about 27-32 FPS and feels pretty good. And the visuals have definitely gotten an upgrade on the deck as well. Textures while not perfect look much better than they did when I grabbed this game about this time last year.

You don't have to do them all at once. Your primary quests are upgrading your flame and whatever equipment your crafters are asking for. Beyond that you can do side quests as you come across them, or as a little diversion from the primary quests

Like with magic chests you really don't have a concern with materials being "lost" and not being able to find them

Has been suggestions for a similar topic that have since seen implementation, but the one thing I wanted to bring up was something neglected.

Suggestion was-
Shroud progression tied to each player seperately based on the flame shrine they are linked to (By linking to one, or the first one they build if not already linked), rather than whichever flame shrine is the highest level in existance for all players in the world/server. If you are not linked to a flame shrine of high enough level, then the corresponding shroud areas are still instant death for you, and you only. Being able to link to them on the fly could mean you can link to a friends altar though after joining their group to share progression as normal.

yes and yes, there's a trick to doing a floating alter, place one, build up then place a second one, dismantle the 1st, and presto, floating alter, dismantle whatever structures you want that you used to get it up there

I mean, the main thing is just getting the altar up there. As long as you have two altar slots open you can leapfrog them up as in build one, build the second at the ceiling of the first, delete the first and build the third at the ceiling of the second, etc. You can upgrade once you're at the level you want to be

honestly i would give this game a 10/10

one thing pulling it down is late/mid game plants take SO long to farm

especially saffron and (another plant i forgot the name of but it’s the one that you need to upgrade the flame to the last level i believe could be wrong)

i think the devs expect you to find the plant and then mine all the ores, kill the boss etc etc

but im a blind mf so i generally don’t find the plant until last and then i gotta farm it

I have a quick, general question. I just saw the social feed clip from 6 days ago. About the NPC "despawn/run away"
Is that fixed.. or should it be fixed? I stopped playing, because I had to respawn like 50% of my NPCs every few minutes

But yesterday (started a new character and new savegame), one of the 5 starters was gone again

It's not fixed, but you can set there roam range with the summon stick. I set my crafter npcs to "0" so they stay put and let some of the village people roam(They like to visit the Y).

If I have to, really reaaally think outside the box, I assume the game-engine has it's problems to display trees that are not part of the "Vanilla"-map, so trees that have been planted and are variables have difficulties showing up.
