Not at all. This kind of game isn't meant to be a persistent game you constantly play like an MMO or live service. It's a game you can play at your pace, get a rewarding experience out of, put down, and maybe pick back up say a year later. Some people will play persistently like builders etc but for a lot of people thats the experience and that's fine. It's okay to be finished with a game

Take The Forest for example. Finished that game when it left EA and was completed, and I still pick it up from time to time because I really enjoy the building and survival and just occupying that world

This should have been fixed in the second to last patch they had. You do have to complete the entire hollow halls to get it to register though.

Yeah... But the games in the categorys of survival do mostly pile up the pillars of:
Surviving in a harsh environment.
Do chores but they're made satisfying by the means of the feeling to have something accomplished
The environment, exploring and Story of choosing
And yeah... I think you might project alot of IRL stress into games.
I get what unnerves you, but they cannot just overthrow something that's like the butter to the bread for a game like this.

Lastly, I'd get it if it would be really tedious to get that all, but I've got enough of it all without really farming for it. Even then, you do it once and done.
Maybe you could also set up a ressource world if they're up to date...

For the most part, you don't need to spend too much time farming materials - but there are always resource servers if you don't like that aspect of the game. Van is right though - it's a pretty integral part of survival-craft games.

There is nothing more simple than jumping on a server, grabbing something and jumping back on to your own. If you aren't willing to put in even that much work, I'm pretty sure the game isn't something you will enjoy. It's literally logging in, walking around grabbing things from chests, logging out and logging back in again on your own server/world. 🤣

Play what you want, and have fun doing it - but other than the potential for automation in the future - that has neither been confirmed or denied by the devs - they aren't going to remove that aspect from the game.

First off:

1. How in the world should the devs know, what the "silent minority" wants, if they don't provide even feedback? Future sight? Also, you get ingame the "Suggest Feedback" option, some choose to engage with the Discord/Community of the game and get informed that there is a suggestion site.
2. First and foremost, none of us decides what gets added. Whether the miority or the masses. It's the devs who do that and it's even stated at the site. They add, what they think is in reach.
3. I'm on the side of the guys that want water. But I also want decorational coins or a ground texture with it. I'm one of those "loud minoritys" you state shouldn't have a chance at their suggestions, thats just unfair. Nobody checks this site 24/7 - or even once a week, or... a month, hence. I think some aren't even there for a year. Only to load their suggestion and leave. But I'm not in a rush: Neither for water, or for coins. I just gave the idea and will have them cook. The only thing I ask at times is if theres now a clear "No" to the suggestion or if they might consider it. It's a process.

Sure. You might have to "stairstep" your way up with altars, since their range isn't just horizontal but also vertical. So one altar might not let you place one at the height you want but you can place one, place a second at the max build height (might need to place a platform for it), delete the first, repeat until you're an Ewok

There's no set amout of time. It could be days to up to a month. Many of the people that go through them and check appropriateness, if it's a repeat, or has more than one feature per suggestion are volunteers with their own full time jobs.

There are also times where the suggestion is worded weird or they can't figure out what is being requested so they wait for another mod to look and eith see the same thing or delete it.

So make sure your request is a single suggestion, isn't rude towards the devs, and has enough information without getting confusing. Likely we won't pass a request that just says make so and so system better without any actual suggestions on what would make it better. None of us are mind readers, we don't know what you want to see if something is bothering you in a feature.

Also of note, it's just a suggestion. You're just throwing it out there and it may or may not be approved for any number of reasons. Be patient, let the process work, and don't expect anything out of it. Just hope maybe they like it

Most game devs don't even entertain community suggestions, and personally I don't think they're wrong for it. Just having the option is already a lot of courtesy to the community, be patient and enjoy the game in the meantime

The devs at keen do seem to care what people are suggesting, so definitely keep suggesting and upvoting. There's always a chance of it in the future. Don't get discouraged when things aren't added to a roadmap or in a release. There's still possibly a whole year before release and a lot of stuff can happen by then.

Also, it is okay to leave a comment stating you don't like a feature and why (as long as you are polite) the devs want to see all viewpoints

Like once you start animation you can't do anything else until the animation is done. In any well devloped game any movement will break an animation immediately and cancel the activity. Keen still has yet to impliment that mechanic into their character animations.

Hi guys, what do you think of this idea for a dual-server community? One map is permanent with a capped alter and low xp, and the other map (both are dedicated servers) is reset every 15 days.

This way it stays fresh, but rewards grinding, and also encourages group play (because of the high difficulty)

ah, just the character. We figured out that it only takes 30 minutes to re-gear and re-skillpoint fresh characters. Permadeath-Lite is probably a better description because healers can revive you on journeys.

It adds Death and loss and risk to group play, so stories form: players sacrifice themselves for goals, and saving others. Dead are "buried" (gear/weapon) in graves with small chests. An obituary permanently records their impact on the server.

Is there an other set of wood fences that are prettier than the first (very bad looking) that we get in the game ?

I have to enclose my animals by type to manage the growing population, but the first fences are little and not attractive

In the village i use to renovate, there is a field where there is wood fences that are not buildable for now and really ansome
I told myself maybe someone learn how to craft them

Does anyone know if this game is ever going to get steam deck support

I don't think it will ever be 100% supported as the Steam has some specific requirements for that like keyboard integration. But, they're working to optimize it so it runs more smoothly with every update.

It's currently in a usable state and they made work on optimizing it last big update
