Nope, you have to carry them. However, I'm not sure that I mind that so much because if you could access the magic box you'd have to [Ctrl-Scroll] through many different resources to select the correct one each time, which would also be a minor inconvenience...

at some point i've "captured" some tawern with altar and started to refresh it - like clearing broken thingies, fixing holes in roofs, building back destroyed parts of walls and it was actually enjoying as hell

I ignored building for the first couple of weeks that I played but now that I've started to mess around with it in more depth I'm really enjoying it 🙂

You have a lot of freedoms whether to build or not in Enshrouded. Even in the starter area you have Longkeep rightly accessible...with a few temporary mending job. It can quickly become a comfortable base

Or you can dig a hole in the ground, inside a hill. Slap on some roof and make comfortable cave system.

I'm keeping that area because I'm too lazy to move, but if I could do it all over again I'd start a base in the sky on Day 1 and never look back

You can even use the terrain tools to build with rocks or dirt in the very beginning if you want to save on the materials, for awhile longer.

I made a platform high enough that it takes multiple real-life minutes to fall all the way to the ground... but when it came time to move all the stuff out of my boxes and start at a new place... I kind of gave up. So now it's just my jumping platform 🙂

short answer is I don't know. Long answer is you only get one first playthrough. Take your time and do all the quests, down all the shroud roots, gather all the cool custom items, read the lore, etc.

Level 35 is the max currently, if you're playing at a reasonable rate, probably 80-100 hours?

3ad85aea seems to be the hardcoded name of the first save file the game uses - but it seems to be completely arbitrary, and as far as I can tell, it's not a significant number of any sort. But it's the right length to be part of a UUID:

In my 15+ gaming experience i have never played anything so repetitive and booring as Hallow Halls

I played with my gf, and we were having a blast for weeks before going to Hallow Halls, where we wanted to blow our brains out! I mean hour to clear one? Then another 2 same?? With same mob and same boss??

I feel dissapointed and i dont know if we are ever going to play Enshrouded cuz of it.

Hollow halls is such a small part of the game, though. it seems a waste to stop playing a game you were having a blast with because of that one issue.

I'm a bit perplexed too. It was their first version of big dungeons and at least tried to add a little variety.
The corridors full of repeating enemies could be a problem, but you also can't introduce too many different variations at once. Otherwise these groups would absolutely dismantle players.

And yes, enemies might be my issue too. Because they're what take the longest.

It all feels bad compared to bow+melee build to the point that I questioned on another channel if it is a bug or by design - specifically the 'fly time' of spells being an additional delay between casting-time delays.

Why? I utilize them a lot both at work and at home. Consul lets you query your configures services as SRV records which include the port, the weight, and the DNS name - this means that configuring a load balancing pool is a single config line because the SRV records have all the information you need about each individual node in the pool

It's a known issue for some. I would report the issue via F1 in game and include your system specs, driver versions and game save to help the devs track down what might be causing the issue. I think that one has been particularly elusive for them.

Hey all, I have a question about the survivors I've foudn thus far. I picked an existing Farmstead in the game that has 4 buildings for my base. I have my hunter, my Alchemist, the skelton dude and the old man in the house. However, I put my Blacksmith and the carpenter in an outdoor building without walls and the farmer in basically what appears to be a farm shed.

That said, those three keep mentioningt that face that they want out of the elements. Does this really change anything besides them saying that and the Eternal Flame constantly reminding me of it? Thanks!

I am not sure how it all works now that they added the ability to roam. I would make sure that all the beds are completely under the roof though just to be sure.

As for changing anything, I am not 100% sure - it might be that they won't give some future quests, but I can't be certain on that. I haven't tested it.

Anyone have trouble with survivors not counting for the final shrine upgrade? Im at 10/12 placed and 10/12 w/ sheltered beds but I actually have 15 beds and all of them are occupied. The only thing I have noticed is that I see some with the "BASE 2" next to their shelter icon when I use the staff. I dont have a second base and the 15 beds are all stacked right next to eachother

Hello all, is There a way do make a direct feedback to devs ?

I would share my feeling about how weapons are equiped.
I think it should have a permanent slot for melee and an other one for distant weapons.

What i mean is the way equipment work for now prevent to benefit from the 2 weapons. Especially true for mages, that use both wand and staff.
Figure it out, you find a staff with lit of mana regen or Armor, but you will never benefit from it 'cause you'll walk with the wand.
Maybe me thought are wrong but i want to share it 😁

hi, i have a question anyone else getting dialogue from the crafts people that they need a shelter when you've already made them one? and is anyone elses npcs getting stuck around their town/base

The last one is a known issue the devs are working on.

The first one - make sure their beds are under a roof and that they are spawned in under the roof as well. Also make sure to assign them to the beds. If all of this is already done, pick up the beds and reassign them and re-place the NPC's.

If none of this fixes the issue, send a detailed bug report from in the game by hitting F1. Include screenshots of the issue and a copy of your world save.

With weapons like a sword or daggers, I almost instantly block or dodge when I press the key while attacking. When attacking with the wand, it feels like there's a significant delay in the window where I'm still locked in the attack animation.

I have no numbers to go by, but just by standing still, holding block and attacking whilst still blocking (The animation snaps to the blocks) They seem pretty much spot on by comparison. But they have two different animations so i can understand it 'feeling' like there's a significant difference.
Is the blocking slow for reaction time? Sure. Is there a difference between sword/wand blocking time, i don't think so.

Enshrouded Server & Character Wipes

As of current writing (6 Febuary 2024) we do not have any plans to force wipes at any time. However, with the Enshrouded being in early access and the fact that a LOT of things will change between now and full release, we cannot guarantee that there may or may not be a major update
that requires old saves to break.

Also being that so much is changing, there is always a chance that an update may break old saves, so we recommend backing up saves regularly that you care about. As this would be something that could be the end of the world for players.

We will do our best to avoid this, and it's not something we're planning intentionally we cannot guarantee this will "never happen" either since there are a lot of unknown variables in the future.

REMINDER THIS IS AN EARLY ACCESS GAME.

thats the thing about this game you dont need to have a big nice base if u dont want to live in a bloody cave if u want to just make sure u have a good amount of rested at the base thats it really and some happy farm animals for materials

i only farm wool and spam plants for food hahhahaha

eventuall youll need chickens for egg farms and mountain goats for there milk to have the nice food buffs

Don't feel bad. My husband literally plopped the large terrain rectangle on the ground... above ground and farms there. and he's actually trying to build a base this run 😄
