Everything respawns. the whole world outside of your altar range completely resets to save on save space and help the game run more smoothly as well as allow for infinate supplies.

But when people can (and do) go to resource worlds to get whatever they want, I think it's a pretty low priority issue. The destination of this game has always been about the journey 🙂

I think they did do some chest rebalancing though in some of the areas. I do recall someone stating the gold chest they went after wasn't there anymore... but that might have just been because it was replaced with a soul.

Which might be a possibility since one of the more popular gold chests was replaced with a soul IIC.

It's not that it isn't a priority - it's that it's not an easy thing to do, and will likely take whoever is working on it quite some time to get it to the point of being usable.

So to answer your question without any actual input from you, as someone with a 3070ti - it's not "laggy". So whatever is happening it's either related to having a halfway decent video card on a potato, something interfering with the game in the background, running too many other things on your system at once, or being in a world with an impressively large build on it with lots of sprites and changes made to the game that are causing it to use a great deal of memory.

And that's just assuming you mean your FPS is bad. If you were talking about actual lag in a multiplayer game - that's a much larger conversation.

Send a bug report by hitting F1 from in the game. Unfortunately this is a very new issue and we don't really have any insight as to what is causing it.

The only thing we do know is that quite a few people having it have a specific video card that is under spec, but, like with you, sometimes it's not the case.

I am not currently aware of anyone having this particular issue - but at the same time, I have been gone from troubleshooting for a couple months. The closest thing would be the character file corruption, but when that happens it looks like a rave threw up all over your map.

The fog of war is saved on the character save though, so if you do try to go from a backup, that is the one you are looking for, not the world save.

Well, that note about FoW being character-saved made me log my second (barely active) character. And guess what? The map is all fine.
So, corrupted character file? But on the other hand, it happened twice now with no other issues.

Weird things happen when you stop playing Enshrouded for a while. I think the game's feelings get hurt and it lashes out. Your best bet is to never stop playing again. 😄

Bats are generally pretty weak, and they fall when they take any damage, so you could grab a bone, craft the baby wand and slap the bats with it

Also, the amount of things you drop is something that can be adjusted, so if you want to continue on survival mode after this but don't want to run into this particular issue again, that is a setting you can adjust.

An random thought occurred to me while I was making some of the gentian tea in game: I'm probably one of the few people here who has actually drank a beverage flavored with gentian extract in real life, and thus who has an idea what it tastes like, lol.

Haven't had any issues yet with taming any animals, including cats. Usually it's people not recognizing the somewhat odd triggering points. Some include not using height variances on approach and going around an object that can essentially block visual of you (building wall or something else).

Well I did read the patch notes but performance is iffy for most people so I wanted to ask the community

there are many things that can affect performance, and sometimes improvements can affect some people negatively. Most people noticed an increase in performance while others have been having issues. I am sure whatever the issue is, they will get it resolved though.

Because before the latest patch I was getting 40 fps and 4 months ago with the same setting it was a stable 65 in the same world I haven't checked it now but I just wanted to see if there is any performance improvements on people's systems

You should be getting better than that. Are you playing on a world that has a large build, a lot of crops or a lot of terrain modifications?

And the weird thing is when I put everything to the absolute lowest and set the resolution to like 250x480 with fsr ultra performance my max fps is 80

hmm. That's definitely not right. Are you running OBS or any other kind of video capturing or editing software? Even a background one?

The game has gotten larger and more complex, but in a new world with that system you should be getting better than what you are in a new world. It makes me think something might be munching up your VRAM or RAM outside of the game. you should have been getting better than 65 in a new world before that.

You can try verifying your files, making sure your drivers are up to date, and clearing your entire shader cache (game, Steam and GPU) and see if that helps with the issue as well.

The game is amazing, and actively being developed and worked on by the dev team. They listen to player input while still keeping the feel of the game alive. The building system is unmatched anywhere, and there is already a ton of content despite still being an early access game. It can be adventurous and cozy at the same time, depending on what you want to do.

No one has any fears that this will be just another EA abandonware project.

what has helped me is two things: 1 trying to build off of an existing structure in the game. and 2, being a history guy, looking at some historic architecture that inspires me and trying to emulate it somewhat.

The only thing you do have to do is open up new areas by leveling up your flame. however there are "ways" around it if you are not inclined to it - but it's not difficult to level them up, just some materials and a fight to get an item from a boss

Foundations are fixed to a N/S/E/W direction due to the fact that the voxels themselves in the game are fixed.

Tbh I'm insanely impressed with Keen and the fine people at work on Enshrouded. They seem to genuinely care about what they put into the world and how it is received. I'm all for normalizing showing appreciation for all the work the devs put in. I've played more than a couple early access games that have been out for years and haven't felt half as enjoyable as Enshrouded

There are no set classes, you get skill points, and can fill out your skill tree however you want. But there are sides of the build, like Barbarian, mage, Ranger, and so on, but there isnt a set path for you to take. Also, you can mix/match any armour you want, so its very easy to set up for any playstyle you like

I have the SAME experience. I can usually get the first heart but retreating fast enough that the ! doesn't wipe out my progress is the problem. I've been trying for three days now with PILES of food to tame this cat and it is just too touchy. I can tell that I do part of it right as I can get the first heart but after that...no go. I've tried hiding behind wall or using the stairs and it still doesn't work.

I think it's a good balance between the users telling the devs that there are bugs and provide feedback, and the way the chat goes feral happy after every hotfix and update.
And if you think that feedback is demoralising...that's on you. Feedback is there because people want you to improve, not to make you feel bad about yourself.

Definitely, feedback is a required measure. Look across all the social platforms though, the majority of stuff on reddit/steam/twitter is complaining, no matter the title... It's not even feedback 😄 You can say 'it's down to you how you feel about those comments' but few and far between are the people in this world that can ignore so much negativity without being affected 🤷

24 magic chest is automatically used as if its in your inventory within a range. Its super good for crafting

Not quite. The range is smaller than a fully upgraded base, so it's best to put your storage area near the center so everything around it can be reached, if you build that large.

Yea, lvl 6 opens access to that temple, continue the quests/upgrade your flame until it asks you to go to the next area.

It's a weird one though. IIRC in the groups it happens, it doesn't matter who hosts, they all have it. almost like one person somehow affects everyone.

afaik, we tried to switch the host or test it without specific people and it still happened as soon as any third player joins the server

Very weird. Something has to be in common with the people having the issue, but it gets so much more complicated with it being a multi-player issue that seems to happen no matter what, but doesn't happen to everyone playing the game.

but since isn't happening exclusively to us I don't think we can do anything else beside reporting it
