I figured out what would fix my biggest issue with the building system. If we were able to replace one block type with another without having to remove it and then re-build it. Like, change a Half-timbered wall into a refined wood wall with a click. I'm doing small details right now and experimenting with roof shapes and my god is it slow going.

Aunt Braelyn is up in the Mire. It's a bread crumb quest.

No, you're thinking of the Blacksmith's helper, Braelyn is the carpenter's helper. Braelyn is in a temple in the Blackmire. She's in the second or third temple you have to go to though. Just follow the @grave sapphire just follow the quest in your journal and you should be able to click show on map, then set a waypoint to where it shows.

in voxel worlds, terrain destruction is usually simulated and accounted for, although with varying degrees of fidelity

Voxel refers specifically to an environment built with 3D pixel (wich is a voxel) so every cell of the world is a "cube" and you can decompose every thing down to that unit of cube

depending on the game it's more or less well done, since many voxel game kinda forget about gravity (minecraft floating tree etc etc ) Space engineer does not tho

noita being 2D is not really voxel either but it gives a good idea of how we expect voxel to work

Cloth/etc.

And Last but not least collectibles and stuff.

Problem is, that the enemies don't have yet a proper threat system working for them, at least what I saw.
It's like: First hit / first seen that guy has aggro - running towards it, hitting it, running to the guy who has the aura, running back to the guy from prior.
At least it was like that last time I had a friend with the aura.

is it just me or is the new enemy in the ice zone that dual-wields two flaming swords broken? that enemy applies burning on you when it hits you, burning that deals like 30 DOT per 0.3 seconds, so you only have a few seconds to heal or you are dead, from 1 single hit

and thats even with full mage armor (the level 33 version)

and other enemies that also ignites dont even deal a FRACTION of the ignite damage that this enemy deals

To be fair the damage of the new scavenger berserkers does feel overtuned. Of course you can kite/survive this or heal yourself. Doesn't mean their damage still isn't too much.

I have been told that actually, if you do a dodge, the burn extinguishes itself. Woosh

Enshrouded Server & Character Wipes

As of current writing (6 Febuary 2024) we do not have any plans to force wipes at any time. However, with the Enshrouded being in early access and the fact that a LOT of things will change between now and full release, we cannot guarantee that there may or may not be a major update
that requires old saves to break.

Also being that so much is changing, there is always a chance that an update may break old saves, so we recommend backing up saves regularly that you care about. As this would be something that could be the end of the world for players.

We will do our best to avoid this, and it's not something we're planning intentionally we cannot guarantee this will "never happen" either since there are a lot of unknown variables in the future.

The frost is due to you being in the cold, I don't know if the devs intend to remove that when you're within a flame altar radius. So you'll either have to deal with it or move elsewhere.

Progression is attached to characters but limited by server. You can just play through the adventure on your own or open it to the public to help(you can also manage this so people need a password to change anything in your base. Highly recommended.)

this friggen boss at the howling place, (if you know you know) how the heck are you supposed to defeat it? wand attacks have too short range so you cant reach, bows and magic reaches but deals no visible damage to its healthbar (i see damage numbers go off from the hits but the healthbar doesnt move) and idk how to "parry" these things as a mage

Hey everyone. Just downloaded the game and wandering around hitting everything and dying to wolves. Have fun actually - it's nice to be in a game with real cause and effect.
