Do I need to be an official Snapchat Partner to publish a lens for a commerical brand?

I'm creating a Snapchat lens for a commercial brand with my company.
The brand asked if we need to be an official Snapchat partner. Previously, I published a lens for a brand by having them add me to their Snapchat account (they were a partner). Can I use the same approach if this brand is a Snapchat partner, or does my company also need to be an official
Snapchat partner?
