Hi Community, this Lens tutorial from 5.0 mentioned about visual scripting template, it does not appear to exist in Lens Studio 5.0.

This is the video from the 5.0 documentation: https://youtu.be/vJ2cXMTMCLM

This is where he pointed out the VS template, timestamp 0:29
https://www.screenpresso.com/=41YGf

This is the page that has the above link, it's for Lens 5.0 so I presumed it's not outdated: https://docs.snap.com/lens-studio/essential-skills/tools/visual-scripting

I have also tried to find it in Asset Library but no luck. Any guidance on where to find the resource to learn Visual Scripting will be deeply appreciated, thanks in advanced.

Hi Olha, I need help with javaScript. Please make scripting tutorials on snap AR youtube channel.
In the tutorial skip the basics like how to make variables, functions etc. I need quality tutorials so that I can make lenses like the templates we see in lens studio.
Thank you 😁

Hi Olha, thank you for agreeing to create JavaScript tutorials.🙏

I suggest starting by breaking down and building the Rooster Run game🐤 from scratch. This will allow us to see how the game is structured, understand the logic, and follow your coding process. After that, it would be great if you could create tutorials for other games🕹️ with different mechanics to teach us a variety of approaches.

Why gamified lenses? They’re more complex and will teach us more than just JavaScript. We’ll learn things like:

  1. Working across multiple scripts.
  2. Building logic and understanding Lens Studio's complex features.
  3. Tips for organizing large projects.
  4. Breaking big projects into smaller, manageable pieces and making them work together.
We don’t need explanations on basics like initializing variables or making functions—there are plenty of tutorials for that. What we need is a deeper dive into structuring and developing more advanced projects.

It would also be great to have discussion sessions on Discord or in the YouTube comments to go over the tutorials and clarify any doubts.

One request: please avoid just showing us pre-written scripts. I’d love to see how you think and code in real-time, so we can follow your process.

By the end of this, you’ll have:

  1. Great content for your YouTube channel.
  2. Complex templates for the asset library.
And we’ll have a deeper understanding of JavaScript and Lens Studio!

It would be great if you could start promptly.😇
