#Bug with Shadow of 3D Object in "Animated Object" Template?

Hi there, when I am importing a 3D Object from the Asset Library into the "Animated Object" template and removing/hiding the existing Fox and Elephant it seems that there is an issue with the shadow, as it is being cut off as seen in the video in an area that I can't seem to find and resolve.

I tried adjusting the light settings which affects the angle of the shadow, as well as scaling the "Ground Grid", "Touch Collision" and "Matte Shadow" Objects in the Scene Objects panel — nothing seemed to affect this shadow-cutoff area.

Any thoughts or hints?

I'm on 4.49.0

#

I just noticed that checking and unchecking "Auto Position" affects the rectangle size of the shadow receiver plane

#

nevertheless it doesn't fix the issue for newly imported items

#

Thank you for looking into this so quickly @cyan magnet

No problem, let me know if that one does give the correct shadow behavior

This is on Mac btw

It's mostly getting clipped off by another occluder plane.

@terse minnow yes it looks and seems so! the thing is I didn‘t find any other plane that is intercepting.
I‘m still having this issue with newly imported objects. I think I will try to start importing primitive objects and see if the issue persists.
