You got it stuck in your groin and started walking on it, it didn't clip trough your armor. The groin and joints are the least protected areas in an armor. What you need to do here is learning how to counter this weapon, it seems more like the issue honestly.

Don't hug the kaktus!

#

starting from here, then you walked with it in your balls

Generally when I die from this weapon it's because I made an error and got it in a weak area. Given how many spikes it has it is only normal that the proabability it gets stucks somewhere is high.

Personally I would address the jerk more than the weapon itself then

#

Like dying because your stepped on a poleaxe on the floor that magically got stuck in your foot

#

Or blade for that matter

The warstaff's many hitboxes plus the games jank, and polearm physics ig, just make it a nightmare. Have no issues with any other weapon, just this one. Can't block it right, can't get lightly tapped by it, can't clash/control, just one hit and it's a cointoss on wether or not it instakills me

Personally I don't have the same experience

I'm jealous

idle moss

I have a fix for you

#

It helps a lot with the bullshit of the blunt weapons

wide crag
#

Thanks, but I don't have an issue with the blunt weapons
Hell I never get knocked out from the Warstaff, I just instantly die cause the spikes morphed through my armor and gave me 6 extra holes

Admittedly I was not very experienced and was still learning my halberds in the EA
But like
Tiniest tap
Dead immediately
Fully armored

Also if you want a real advice you need to manage your reach better. You had the advantage but didn't use it because your weapon was down for so reason and also because you were too close. You did not use the opportunity to charge him when his guard was down and you let him have all the momentum so you can't do anything because ultimmately he has the best stick to defend himself.

It's why you died, because he touched the gap in tour armor

I slain those MF all the time with long swords because this helmet has no neck protection lol

Also your weapon seems very unbalanced

# idle moss I'm talking about the first one

You can see he injured my arm, so I couldn't raise it any further, cause ofc the warstaff can just instainjure, so I tried going low since thats all I was able to do. Couldn't try mid cause he's completely armored

idle moss
#

He also took a hit

wide crag

I even do it with swords

wide crag
#

This particular warstaff too swings up and down fast so, the chances of me getting in there are slim

wide crag
# idle moss I even do it with swords

Happy for you, wish I had that luck vs warstaffs. I tried everything, it's either I get a knock on the head or get them in a gap, if i fail I die to some stupid nonsense

idle moss
#

It's not luck, it's experience and skill

#

you just have to get better at this

I'm not using a mod as a hand-holding tool to deal with a broken weapon man
This is blatant jank, you can SEE the impact frames where the 'strike' wasn't even big

#

Maybe I'm missing something, but this is the only weapon in the game I have horrific events happen to me
I never struggle with the Baron and his lackeys the way I do the warstaff
Never a sword, mace, shield or other halberd

idle moss
# wide crag Maybe I'm missing something, but this is the only weapon in the game I have horr...

Because this game reward heavy armor usage and not skill. The mod I presented to you is not a hand holder, in fact it will make Baron and other end game encounter harder simply because you won't do as much damage to them as before so you'll have to land your strikes correctly in order to really win. You'll have to manage your opponent's feet, their wiegth and throw them on the floor, just like a real armored combat. This mod fixes one problem with the game, it will be fixed later during EA.

#

That's assuming I just run in, two hand and smack enemies in the face
That's lame and takes no skill or understanding of a Halberd
I try different techniques, I go for gaps, I get behind Bevors with the axe and rake back, I get the halberd between legs and wrestle down before finishing with an overhead chop, I manage all of this
My only issue here, is the warstaff, the whole point about this thread I made in the "Feedback-bug-reporting" thing
-# I'll give the mod a try tho, I like the idea of the harder Baron you just described

idle moss
#

At least now you will have to really better aim at the gaps because armor don't protect currently against blunt damage in this game, so now if you want to win you'll have to really aim correctly while the enemies swarms you

wide crag
#

I like the sound of that

#

Anyways, thanks for your inputs tho, gonna leave the clips up and add to it should I encounter more
