#Asian arms and armor

This is the purpose of mods gang
free mode exists but will only have time period accurate weapons of course because that’s what the game is
But if you want Asian armor or Asian weapons you can create it yourself and people have so why ask for it when they have already set a place and time
mods are cool and all, but we dont want another bannerlord where we have to rely on modders for everything
Boo hoo
You can’t have the armors that don’t match the place we are in in the slightest
That’s the purpose of mods
To add things the game won’t because it doesn’t make any sense to be there
Or because it’s ass or really hard or really op or just things the game neglected to add
The game shouldn’t add Asian armor because you want Asian armor in the game set in Europe when mods exist
It of course should add things from the time period
And place
Surrounding places
But not fucking Asia
“We don’t wanna have another banner lord” you don’t want to download a mod to add things that don’t make any sense to be there and want the game to do it instead
They could just add a more expansive weapons creator
I think they should probably do that
So you can make katanas but it’s not technically a in game feature
They could add some Asian weapon parts to it or something
Why would they do this
Just let the devs develop a European based game they don’t have to create models to appease the minority of players
A: you want Asian weapons
B: you are too lazy to mod them in
C: you don’t think it is a bad idea to add Asian parts into a game based in Europe for literally no reason
iirc they said somewhere of possible dlc for separate regional gear
Not official
Very far out
if you can find any aisan armor mod or weapon except a katana, please tell me
also Cumans are European-ish, they had Asian style armor, i feel like at least that could be a middle ground of sorts, we get aisan style armor leading to more people being happy cuz more stuff, and it retains eroupean in the steam description
Cumans came from asia/the Est, Kazakhstan if I recall correctly. Just like the Turks came from the steps. Though their weapons and armor were more from the steps than purely "asian" because there is a lot of distinction to be made between the 2.
However we do find some instances of asiatic weaponry being brought up by travelers as curiosity, it did not serv as weapons in most of the cases.
fair point, but in the 15th century time frame half sword is set in, cumans are settled in hungary
I was not referring to where they were but where they were from. I think they settled in Hungary around the 13 century like 1229
fair enough, at this point im trying to find any excuse to wear lamellar in halfsword and use a saber
but i feel like thats not a big ask
I don't agree.
That'd be a different game, or a DLC expansion where you can switch between Europe and Asia.
If you mean that they are combined into the same game, with Asian equipment intertwined with European equipment then no,
But if you mean different campaigns with their own equipment then sure.
What’s so bad about European and Asian equipment being together? Please tell me
Because the game is meant to be a historically accurate depiction of European duelling, arms, and armour.
The entire setting is Medieval Europe.
Fair point
