As the title says, certain helmets are completely unusable from first person. I know this is a very minor issue, but as someone who plays first person it can be annoying when some of the best helmets have your eyes clipping into the metal, or have tiny eye slots with a giant vertical blind spot in the center. I like that you have to choose between sallet + bevor for visibility or full armet for more protection, but it can be a little too restricting I feel for certain helmets. Even just increasing the eye slits by 10-15% would make a huge difference, and fixing the clipping on those that do.

they could go the kcd route and just have helmet overlays
Yes that could work as well and save a lot of time. Maybe they could do that as a short term solution before going in and remodeling/repositioning helmets that do not work. I just found another sallet the other day that is impossible to use, sits way too low so my eyes are staring into a metal wall. Eye openings are level with my nostrils somehow 😂
helmet overlays would be the best solution since you cant really simulate seeing through the eyes with a monitor
as far as i know the camera is placed on the bridge of the nose
