even after winning a match im forced to create a new character and the equipment i had on me is gone. very annoying

Same issue but it happens to me when I hit leave or open my inventory, all my progress is gone

You need to turn of steam cloud in the properties and then delete your current save file.

Save file is located in user/Appdata/Local/HalfSwordUE5/Saved

Delete all files in that folder.

did you delete then turn off, or turn off then delete? I turned off then deleted it.
