Adjust, not nerf. They bite lock on is too stiff. A super cool and scary mechanic imo. just a bit overtuned.

I also think they need a slight nerf but if you want a tip since I don't really find them difficult once you adapt to them, just don't get too close and try to take them down and finish them in the ground, using short weapons is really dangerous since bites can instantly kill you sometimes. try using long weapons like the candle metal stick, that thing destroys them.

The bite should have a .5 second delay instead of an instalock.

I feel you, dont know what happened, i played yesterday, everything was fine, i was doing ok for myself. Then today . Its like i cannot swing any weapons right… especially the zombies, they just jump on me , bite my face, and im dead… either that or my guy just fall to the ground, lay there screaming while a zombie eat his ass.. for 5min straight xd haha…

I personally think it's fine and honestly I think what needs to be fixed is how quickly they'll abandon their weapons and how they are unable to really capitalize on their biting when you fall down on the floor as all they can really do is eat your knees or if your really unlucky they can get a bite on your head but rarely does it end up being fatal if your already on the ground.

their first swing is a good swing but then the next will likely just make them drop their weapon

they literally fall to pieces at the slightest nick of a blade, you can charge at them with a sword and cut them down like tissue paper

dude i've never failed an abyss in progression mode, only ever died one in the abyss mode, its pretty easy

The biting is what makes it kinda overtuned at the beginning in my experience; especially with zero armor and having a blunt weapon.

#

They just struggle to die to blunt instruments no matter how many times I break their bones and cave their head in.

#

Otherwise, it's just a cake walk when you learn the slightest bit about them. They need to be reworked if anything.
