I Now Tried some of the Grappling moves from the playtest.
It seems like the bodies are completely passthrough in the game.
They basicly have no collisions 50% of the time.
Also players when trying to do a Charged Kick just do some weird floating motion
Weapons Also loose colisions sometimes, which makes blocking borderline impossible
how are we able to do mma moves in the demo but not even grab right on early access
Im not sure but i think the Demo (Playtest) String was completely seperate from what we got now.
The thing that we have now is basicly a Version of the old demo (the one with a cursor and Abyss only)
Thats the only way i can think off that would explain the rapid decrease in quality of all the stuff.
Its not the system we know (and the one most of us love)
I Honestly dont understand why they would do that though, like the system they chose is so much more buggy to the point that its basicly unusable, While as the Playtest version (Especially the one before the merge) was very clean to the extend that it basicly had no bugs.
What we asked for is a better version of the demo, same systems, more content, and more optimization.
That is what everyone asked for and kinda what we were promised.
Instead we got a whole new system that is something completely else then we all signed up for.
Appart from the fact that its also way way way worse in terms of quality and polish in comparison to what we had before.
I Kinda have the feeling that they didnt playtest this version at all, they released a playtest only to fully ditch the Version that was playtested and start something new without anyone ever testing it.
Now they call that untested mess the game.

Maybee they can somehow fix it, but with this disappointment of the whole community going arround like a forrest fire it kinda scares me that the devs didnt even bother to say something about it yet.
i noticed that its starting happening when you make your character small
weapons just not working
try to make your character big to the max
Tbh i dont even have the motivation to try that, The Performance is so incredibly terrible.
Cant even play celar cuz the small vegetation in the circle version brakes my whole game.

Can run most games on mid settings.

Yeah, worked better on vegetation, but Overall performance was worse.
I Dont even know how it can be that fucked up

only fps drop i have is w the blood, but that’s because im on max for n blood

slums it drops to 60

i downloaded this so hopefully i can get up 80 fps too
yeah they dont support upscaling for non nividia gpus

Like striking moves his arms in the given direction
But instead of the weapon moving there too
His Wrists just give in and spinn out
Alr to make this more proffessional
Characters have no Wrist Joint, Weapons bugging out.
Issue: On mouse movement, the wrists give in instead of moving the weapon.
Cause: Idk, seems like the joint is just not existent for the player character.
Effect: Makes every strike with a Weapon a gamble, if it either works as expected (with some delay) or just buggs out the weapon, Sometimes also ends with the weapon bugging inside the Character.
Frequency: About 40% of all attacks end up bugged

Abyss is Bugged & Not fun
1st: The Biting feature for the Zombies makes Abyss hardly playable at all, They spawn in behind you and with that Bite and Instant Stagger you.
2nd: The already shit biting is also bugged, all damge dealt by it does not lead to death, so your just softlocked on the ground until you return to the menu.

Bumping for the fist issue
i think this happens only with certain weapons
but it can be with all weapons if youre creating a small character
Mesers are a victim of this, it allows for cool moves but it getting stucked in my neck is...impractical
You cooked here, they absolutely shouldve improved on .5’s demo because weapons actually felt decent there, instead of resorting to just half assing it and going back to an older version just to push the progression and all other content out.
its with Most low tier weapons, the only ones i have found that are not affected are some Longswords and one handed hammers.
Also Hotfix 2 Did not solve this issue
I Cant mention often enough that the "Closed" Playtest before it got merged into the Open demo had by far the best weapon handling.
I Had lke 150 Hours on the Playtest.
That was the best version of em all in regards to Weapon feel and Handling.
But to defend the game a bit, The damage model has made some big steps since then.
And if the updates stay this frequent then it will soon be the best version
and optimize maps
the only problem of demo was that it had only 1 boring map
hotfix also says that they optimized slum map
but nothing changed
I can understand the performance issues since it seems the graphics had made some jumps in this update. likely wasnt tested with a large verity of hardware until now. but this combat is so much worse
I've noticed that the game definitely has hidden stats that get increased as you continue up the ranks, while I do like the idea of your guy getting stronger as you fight more, I wish the strength of your characters grip wasn't also tied to this. Grabbing and grappling is very difficult at peasant rank, when I'd argue it should be some of the most fun? And anything that requires two hands always seems to slip out of my non dominant hand like it's been buttered or oiled up
this may be true. I did notice a small difference when i ranked but thought i was imagining things. Either way, this would not be a very good implimentation of a system like that if it were the case and should certainly be removedif it does exist
i also noticed that even npc sometimes has their wrists broken
and they cant attack you

It aint, its from the same bug that makes the Wrist joints become Water.
Didnt say that, it said "beggining of slum optimization"
This has been an issue since the demo, though it's more annoying with the introduction of weapon forging
