I'll go through how I've been doing it:
I use Massclown's trainer to spawn and equip armor+weapons (while in arena) I would like to have as a loadout, I press the keys 'Ctrl L' to save that loadout so that when I escape to menu I can confirm that my loadout is shown in the menu. Using OVRDTH selector, I go through the process of saving a loadout, I haven't updated it since a couple updates ago so you'd have to figure that out through the new version

Some of that can be done with reasonable effort, some can be done right now by abusing some side effects (say, toggling NC auto spawn off and back on will force a next boss fight, and you can speedrun all boss fights in a row like that, this is documented at https://github.com/massclown/HalfSwordTrainerMod/blob/9dd52145a7f04ec08107cd59d4a01ee1c06f9851/HalfSwordTrainerMod/scripts/main.lua#L429), and some of those things are hard to do in a mod right now

I haven't broken the game too many times, most times a window pops up and says "fatal error ..." but the game still runs - so it's fine, as long as you don't press the 'ok' button, just click back into the game. Other than that, there are moment where the game freezes, in that case you'd have to exit out the game

OVRDTH's loadout selector only saves loadouts that are in the main menu rather than in the arena. From what I can assume, you're trying to save loadouts in the arena which will not work, (I use Massclown's trainer for the key command 'Ctrl L)'
instead you should press down 'Ctrl' and 'L' at the same time while in the arena to have your loadout show up in the menu (you'll find this out when you exit to the menu), then afterwards you use OVRDTH's loadout selector

The CheatEngine slow-mo gets choppy under 0.2x speed, but from 0.2x to 1.0x its fine, although it tends to make the game unstable when you turn it off. Also, it slows down the game differently from the trainer’s slow-mo, so it can be interesting using both. Personally, i used the CheatEngine keybinds and binded the slow mo and slow motion speed adjustment to my mouse thumb button 1 and scroll wheel, and the trainer’s slow mo to thumb button 2 and adjusting the speed with scroll wheel left and right clicks, makes for a pretty good experience

and add fencing response (freeze all of the NPC's limbs in place) for super hard KOs. Speaking as someone who has no clue how to mod, I feel like this would be relatively easy to do since we can freeze NPCs with the trainer mod so maybe just freezing the limbs in motion but not in place would work. Assuming it doesnt horrendously glitch the character's model

No, only local splitscreen for old demo. But the devs have shown their local splitscreen too at a game show, so we may hope to get that. True online multiplayer with such detailed physics is very hard to do even for the big studios. The best we can hope for is Steam Remote Play Together + local splitscreen (basically send invites to people and their controllers are proxied by Steam to your machine, so they play as if they were in your room)

(to the author of the message) as far as i know there are only 3 mods for playtest and all of them are open source. i don't think it's right to say they are trojans just by having a scan as proof. most people are not aware of how sensitive most antivirus are and the amount of false positives they report.

Right click halfsword playtest in your steam library, then properties. Under General there’s a line for Launch Options. In that line type in: -dx11

Okay this is so hilarious that I must respond. Look this hash up, this is literally the hash of an empty file! The screenshot is cropped, it says ZERO BYTES on the right, and even Virustotal itself helpfully says the same (also right in the middle of the screenshot! My best guess is that someone aborted a download and that resulted in an empty file, which they uploaded to Virustotal and got confused. For the non-technical people among us I must mention that an empty file literally contains nothing, and also has nothing to do with the trainer mod or its installer.

Heyo, I tried searching through the older posts here but couldn't find anything. Is there any way to extract the sound files from this game? I wanted to use them for something personal (obvs nothing commercial or profitable in any way), but the .paks seem to be encrypted.

Most of the mods have an installer. The nexus download will give you a .exe that you run.

The only weird one is QoL which you download off GitHub and inject a DLL for. But there's simple tutorials for that one.

None of them can really break your game bc nothing is manually messing with the directory.

It's very point and shoot. I posted all the links to the main mods just a few messages up

Trainer mod should just boot with the menu on if you used the quick installer

I had no issue that way.

Run the .exe, make sure the tabs are green, boot the game.

So while the loadout is active either in the menu or in the game, hit save loadout.

Then double click it and press whatever hotkey you set to load it.

The loadouts are stored in folders in the ovrdth directory. You can organize and name them however you want

Is there a mod that would make dismembering easier? at the end of battles i like to go around finishing off my opponents (mainly by beheading) and I can barely get good hits on the neck with any weapon
