tbf allot of people do not like storylines where women struggle. Many prefer to skip the character building part and jump straight to when things are good and the only bad stuff happening is external.

She wasn't girl bossing, she was finally having a mental breakdown right in that moment, and her response was to try and kill and hurt the man who ruined her life

Debbie and Eve also bonded while Mark was at war which was not really explored in the show. At least in the comic it was implied that Eve made the decision based on things she knew to be actual potential rather then pure speculative fear.
