a key thing to keep in mind is footwork and positioning. youll probably basically always want to hold shift down to be sprinting. this does two things: it makes it so each time you move, you will move in a quick burst of speed, and it will widen your stance while holding your weapon, making you more stable. go off instinct what your range is vs what your opponent's range is. if your opponent has more range than you, but has something like a pollax or spear, you can abuse them by getting in close enough to the point where the head of their weapon cannot physically reach you. this is harder to do against swords, since theyre one big sharp thing. if you have more range than your opponent, just keep their weapon away from your face lol. be controlled in your movements, do short dashes rather than continuous sprints of movement. you should still almost always be moving.

if it is a weapon that has a long haft and a little head at the end, you are able to typically avoid them by closing in as tight as you can so they can only hit you with the haft, or, even better, cant move the weapon at all. if its a big sword or goedendag (pole covered in a bunch of spikes), you kinda gotta just pray. bait out a swing so theyre off gaurd, then rush in. its much harder to do

yes but its not really something you should actively try to do without being goated at the game. if you grab the opponent's dominant hand just right, they will drop their weapon, but that often leads to the game bugging out and your hand getting obliterated. you can also damage someone's arm enough that they cant use it anymore. also, pretty rarely, you can get their weapon out of their hands by moving it into a position they cant hold it anymore in with your weapon, i think? dont take my word on that one

nah hold onto shift to maintain your stance. just stop moving. its best if you take a dash backwards to recover. ideally you wont run out of stamina at all in the lower tiers, since you have a lot when you dont have any armor on

When you load into a game, that's the computer pulling information from the harddrive onto the ram for quick access.
Things that are currently being processed by the gpu, go in vram, like previously mentioned textures but also things like all the frame buffers that the gpu renders before it essentially sends the final image off to the screen.

If a game ends up trying to use more vram than the computer actually has then the extra load can be offloaded onto the normal ram but the performance will very much begin to slowdown at that point.
