acrylic plastic is the stuff they use in shields Acrylic Polymer, i think its fairly expensive doe

If you get a sheet of acrylic, probably around 4-6mm thick, buy a heat gun (fairly basic DIY tool, it's like a hairdryer but hotter), just blow heat at it and then bend and work it until it's the right shape to be cut and fitted inside the helmet.

Btw, in the prior video they tested an arrow from a 160lb warbow against a flat sheet of 1.5mm thick mild steel, and it still hardly penetrated...

If a flat relatively thin sheet of mild steel can more or less reliably stop an arrow from a fucking 160lb bow then arrows have no chance against any kind of well made hardened armoir.
