Games used to be made so that medium settings was the standard, high or max being the bonus if you can run it. These days max settings gas become the new medium and anything less just looks terrible
Only recent game to do it right was doom eternal, game still looks nice on the lowest settings, higher settings just look even better.

Use the butt spike like a short spear and jab it blindingly fast at people, and when they get too close or the opportunity presents itself you bring the other end of the poleaxe crushing down onto their head with an overhead swing.
