They avoid statements regarding mulitplayer. Current hardware most likely can't really handle the amount of communication data in the amount of time necessary to play the game properly. Just think about the issues some people have running Buhurts because of all the moving parts. Now imagine two computers, doing the physics calcs, having to tell the other computer how everything moves, check in that everything matches for both devices and then keep doing that with every single rendered and simulated object on the screen like 60-120 times per second. Rn it's impossible with modern internet hardware.
