General advice for dealing with polearms when using any 2H weapon: go into half-sword mode (tap RClick), hold your weapon in front of you (hold LClick), and use your weapon's haft or blade to beat the point of the polearm up, down, or to the side so that you can squeeze past it. From there, follow up with a fendente to the neck or (for armored opponents) start swinging the mouse side to side to bash their head in.

Once you step past the head of most polearms they're nothing but a stick! Seen too many streamers waltz straight into an extended point or just stand there swinging for the fences and wonder why it didn't work out.
