I figured out a way to do those fancy schmancy polearm tricks where you spin it around, like you see in over the top fighting movies. This is only after about 15 minutes of practice.
The spear is even better btw because of it's weight and balance! Imagine after 1 few hours of practice for more consistency! It looks dope though!

I have "discovered" Pavise Shield Tech. I'm probably not the first, but I am willing to disiminate this information through the community.
When holding a Pavise Shield in your left hand, and a one-handed weapon in your right hand, hold down left mouse button and right mouse button and move your cursor to the far right of the screen. This enters you into a "Readied Shield Stance". When you go to swing your actual weapon, let go of right mouse button so that you drop the Pavise Shield into its neutral stance to give the most amount of room and power to your primary melee weapon.
This functionality allows you to actually use the shield as a shield and put it between you and your enemy, even while swinging your weapon.
