Focusing on stepping off line to get out of the weapon's path rather than turning. Its better to stay facing your opponent so you can keep defending, and it's a lot more consistent than turning away.

the dodges in ea have so little momentum to the point its slower than the ai's ability to redirect a swing so ill usually catch a pole to the head that way

I think that balances out a bit because the enemy's swinging patterns feel a lot more predictable now. They have a big windup, and they rarely feint to another direction, so you can anticipate your sidesteps a lot more than you could in the demo

At least in my opinion

your not wrong, but i find the AI also has a lot better tracking on swings, like higher chances of landing whatever swing they throw

im confident whatever aiming system was in demo got increased, hence why they hit your hands so often when you try to block with a polearm
