If your progress has reset or you create a character and progress is not saving -

1. Exit Half Sword, in Steam right click Half Sword>Properties>General and turn off Steam Cloud
2. Go to %localappdata%\HalfSwordUE5\Saved\SaveGames and if the GameProgress.sav file is 0kb, it is corrupt, delete it. Settings.sav may also be 0kb, delete it as well or changes made to settings will not save.
3. If these files are not 0kb, browse up to %localappdata%\HalfSwordUE5\ and move the entire Saved folder elsewhere for safe keeping, so then the HalfSwordUE5 folder should be empty.
4. Start Half Sword and create a character, change some settings, restart the game and see if everything has saved.

they initially had a rgb color wheel value for changing grip colors when they showed the feature off but I can understand why they didn't do this ultimately. Back then some colors were very hard to get, such as purple, so it makes sense. I imagine that's why we also don't see literally any purple clothing and what not.
