well. i made a minimum height character that starts at 71 kg, to grind muscle gain i intentionally ran myself out of stamina by punching, jumping, and kicking till basically falling over 3-5 times after every match, just pummeling their lifeless body ofc

it took me about 20 ingame days or so to hit 81 kg

so i personally believe you gain strenght directly from stamina, and the game tells you that you do, but i dont know if its been factually checked in gamefiles or something

That technique is good, it's just usually better against lighter weapons.

Some of the heavier weapons, especialy if also long, can blow through a static parry enough to still bonk your head, and that can just put you down even through a helmet

you can do it against polearms, but the thing is that they can only swing to one side, so you have to be careful which side you let their attack glance from as otherwise they are forced to essentially pull the haft back through you to retract it again

@lyric junco I had my first orange item appear on my new character(old inventory) just now. To test some things out a while back I insured a goblet (the smaller cheaper cup version) and a paten. For a while the goblet was just normal insured yellow. But just now, I went to the abyss manually by drinking poison, I found a small cup goblet and holstered it to take with me, and once I got out of the abyss and checked my inventory, both the new goblet I just looted was orange as well as my previous goblet that was just regular insured yellow. I took a chalice while I was in the abyss too and it was just normal abyss red.

Raw practice, it's pretty unwielding. My best advice is to slow your mouse movement a bit, but frankly it's just a lot of practice.

Sword alignment is hard, really.

oh i know a tip on sword swinging accuracy

right so basically the best way i can describe it is to keep your mouse in-line with your movements on the desk, for instance i naturally hold my mouse at a angle but move it at a 90 degree angle relative to the desk, but that causes a diagonal line to register

so basically for this game your edge alignment is dependant on your ability to keep the mouse straight up and down while making straight up and down inputs, or being able to translate that into diagonal movements while holding the mouse at a slight angle. if any of that makes sense

@lyric junco testing this further, I had to reload the save back to right before I entered the abyss at this time, so I had no orange items again of course. This time though, I picked up a chalice and two patens. Recall that I'd insured a goblet and a paten before (both taken from outside the abyss) and when I looted a goblet from the abyss, it turned orange and turned my other goblet orange.

Well this time, with the patens, both of them were just normal abyss red and my previously insured paten didn't change at all it just stayed normal insured yellow.
